Personal Profile

Born Miranda Cross, but given over for adoption by Roberta Crane( Mother) Miranda was raised in a state run Orphanage, Miranda took care of her younger twin, Stephanie Helen Cross, through theft and running simple street con's. By 10 years old Miranda had already been arrested at least twice, but due to her age, as released without a criminal record. When both girls were aged 12, they were adopted by Richard and Martha Croft, married Constables with the Metropolitan Police Service. This act of compassion, changed the lives of both sisters, who later excelled in school with Miranda showing both an aptitude for Physical Education and Logic.

While her sister Stephanie, traveled to New York to study Computer Programming at Columbia University, Miranda enlisted in the British Army at 18 years, with the Mercian Regiment. It was here she specialised in ordinance disposal, joining an elite bomb disposal team, and came out as lesbian. She served two tours in Afghanistan, in which she promoted to the rank of Corporal and decorated twice for gallantry, winning a Queens Gallantry Medal for the disposal of 5 IED'S under fire. The second award was the Military Cross, for conspicuous courage under fire, during which her Convoy was ambushed by Taliban insurgents. Miranda was able to hold off the ambush, killing 4 militants and wounding 6, while she called for medievac for her squadmates. She saved the lives of 5 members of her team, and was recommended for the Victoria Cross but was refused on account of her gender.

Miranda was later approached by the Special Air Service, she had passed nearly all of the selection trials but was beaten into second place. Miranda was demobilised with a honourable discharge, but cited for one charge of inappropriate sexual behaviour with another female soldier. Aged 23, Miranda was recruited into MI6 as a field agent, on account of her war record and extensive skill set. Two years into her service, tragedy struck when her sister was raped and murdered by Darkwatch assassins. Taking compassionate leave, Miranda tracked and murdered the 5 men responsible for the crime, and later turned herself to the NYPD. She was convicted of 5 consecutive live terms and one charge of breaking and entering, one charge of assaulting a police officer, one charge of impersonating a police officer, kidnapping and theft of a police vehicle. During her prison transfer, she was rescued by her future wife, Senior Operative Vesper, and recruited into group 6 of the Shadow Intiative. Miranda, is currently on leave, with her wife following the successful campaign against Darkwatch.

Psychological Profile

Growing up an orphan, Miranda was exposed to a harsh childhood and became very protective of her younger sister. This is apparent with her relationships in group 6, as she very protective and loyal to her fellow agents, in particular her wife Vesper as the two are inseparable. Being raised by police officers, left Miranda with a strong work ethic and personal code of honour. Gifted in both mind and body, Miranda demonstrated courage and fortitude under fire as well as a sense of duty and willingness to do the right thing, no matter the personal cost. Miranda's time in the army also helped her realise her sexuality. Cited for inappropriate sexual behaviour with another female soldier, Miranda as shown she is highly flirtatious and sexually adventurous, her relationship with Vesper as only increased these desires

It is her record in MI6, that is most intriguing. Miranda was cited multiple times for excessive use of force on several occasions on female civilians. According to her file, Miranda had knocked them out and stolen their clothing to complete her objectives without authorisation. While this shows a capacity for intuition and outside the box thinking, it also identifies that while she as a code of honour, Miranda is not above using force to achieve her goals. She also showed a lack of remorse in the actions, and a lack of empathy. Something she also demonstrated at her murder trial.

Further profiling on behalf of the SI, as revealed that Miranda receives sexual pleasure from rendering women unconscious, whether by herself or her wife and conducting disguises, a trait she shares with her wife. SI medical believe that this is no cause for concern. Another curious trait is that she actually derives arousal from using the mimic gun, instead of pain. This seems to be a trait unique to Miranda.

Regardless of these findings, Operative Nightingale is a dedicated and professional infiltrator and I have no problem in recommending her for promotion to Senior Operative.
