The Great Normandy SR-2 Aquarium Heist: A Mass Effect USB Story

This one-shot fan fiction story, Is based on the iconic Bioware trilogy Mass Effect. In Mass Effect 3 Commander Shepard's ex Cerberus Yeoman, and potential love interest, Kelly Chambers embarked on a dangerous mission to rescue the Commander's pet fish from the Aquarium in her cabin. The ship has been impounded by the Systems Alliance, following Shepard's defection and arrest following the suicide mission. Kelly must find a way to sneak onto the Normandy past the Alliance inspection team swarming the ship, and save the Commander's fish. Then maybe just maybe Kelly, could win Shepard's heart for good. Here's how I think she did it. So without any further ado...


It had been six long months since the suicide mission, to the Collector homeworld, when Shepard had destroyed the Collector base swooping to the rescue of Kelly and the rest of the Lazarus cell after their abduction at the hands of the bug-eyed aliens. She was still suffering from flashbacks from the horrific ordeal, but they were tempered by the she had time spent with the beautiful Commander in her cabin. Has her Yeoman, Kelly had perhaps got to know the Milky Way's most dashing heroine more intimately then anyone else before or since. She had danced a couple of times for Shepard, wearing a little skimpy outfit she had brought from Omega while on leave, they had also made out a couple of times but never to third base. In return, Shepard had taught Kelly some marine hand-to-hand, even demonstrating a technique called the nerve pinch. Kelly smiled at the memory, she had lost count how many times Shepard had rendered her unconscious pinching her Vagus nerve, every time she got back up feeling just a little more aroused each time. Kelly however proved the quick study, and had rendered Shepard unconscious on quite a few occasions with the pinch. She shook her head, returning back to the present. She caught a reflection of her face in a speeders window, her short brown hair brushed to the left hand side, shallow cheekbones, heart shaped face and green almond shaped eyes drew many looks from many people men, women, asari and even a couple of turians. While she loved all the races of the Milky Way, only one woman mattered to her. Her beloved, beautiful Commander Shepard.

At the moment, Kelly stood across from docking bay E24 on the Citadels Zakera Ward, looking for a way to get onto the Normandy. Shepard was still back on Earth, getting worked over by an Alliance tribunal while the Reapers had begun their invasion, sweeping through the batarian home systems like a plague of locusts. Word around the refugee camp, where she worked was Earth was next, meaning Shepard would come here to continue the struggle against the reapers. Her plan was to save the Normandy's fish, and finally win the heart of her beloved commander, she doubted that any of these Alliance marines would care to feed them, they were too busy poring over the extensive technical modifications Cerberus, including EDI the Normandy's loyal AI, and later Shepard herself had made, to worry about a few innocent fish. Kelly laughed inwardly, she hoped that EDI was making those engineers lives difficult. During her stakeout, Kelly had noticed a number of female Alliance engineers going back and forth from the docking bay. They all were wearing the standard crew uniform of the Alliance, a tight fitting short sleeved navy blue shirt with light blue cuffs and inside seams, with matching navy uniform trousers with urban camouflage inside seams and black shin boots on their feet. Kelly had even picked out a young woman who was her size, an Alliance Petty Officer, the same hip size and C-cup breasts emphasised by the tight uniform she wore. Kelly had been with other women in college, and knew a looker when she saw one. The Petty Officer, had high cheekbones with an angular face and narrow blue eyes. Her long raven black hair, done up in a bushy foxtail behind the back of her head. Kelly needed to get the girl on her own, knock her out and take her uniform, along with her omni-tool biometrics. With the uniform, she could infiltrate the Normandy rescue the fish and leave before anybody caught on. Smiling at the share audacity of her plan, she followed the pretty engineer down the street.

Kelly had followed the Engineer into the Quasar lounge, an upmarket cantina in the Zakera Ward, it was a decently run establishment as bars went, with its neon lights and disco, but Kelly had preferred the rough and tumble of Chora's Den not to mention the cute asari dancers. She sat at the bar, nursing her Martian brandy glancing at the Engineer. In the ten minutes she had been here, the Engineer had drank a couple of tonic waters and had got up to dance, Kelly had been tempted to join her. The asari barmaid in front her smiled. " You have been staring at her for a while, why don't you ask her out. She is a pretty little thing." Kelly drank some of her brandy. " She is hot, but I have another woman on my mind." The barmaid put the glass she was cleaning. " So we're is this mystery woman then?" Kelly took another short sip of the amber liquid. " She's far away from here, but I hope soon she will come back to me." The cyan coloured asari leant in. " I hope to the goddess that she finds her way back to you." Suddenly the Engineer had stopped dancing and began to walk towards the ladies bathroom. Kelly got up, flashing the barmaid a quick smile, paid her tab and discreetly followed the young engineer into the ladies toilet.


She entered the women's bathroom, finding it deserted accept for the stall at the end, Kelly snuck to the end of the row. Waiting for the engineer to finish her business, Kelly braced herself, as soon as she had the flush and the Engineer emerged from the stall, Kelly pinched the Woman's Vagus nerve, the woman gave a small cry of arousal then fell down onto the bathroom floor unconscious. Reacting quickly, Kelly dragged the unconscious woman into the attendants cupboard, hacking the lock with her omni-tool. Once inside she stripped off her off-duty spacer outfit, then began to strip the unconscious petty officer. Kelly started by unlacing the woman's boots, pulling them off her small feet, then unbuttoned the woman's uniform trousers, working them past the girl's shapely hips, peeling them down her long divine legs. This exposed a pair of lace trim black panties, that covered the girl's womanhood. Kelly decided to let her keep her underwear, she only needed the uniform, she pulled the unconscious woman into a seated position, pulling up her uniform shirt and letting the underwear clad girl flop down onto the cupboard floor, her C-cup breasts enveloped by a matching lace trim black bra. Kelly got dressed in the woman's uniform, when she was finished she bound the girl's arms and legs with towels from the bathroom cupboard, then working out the girl's scrunchie shoving it into her mouth to gag her. She then copied the woman's omni-tool biometrics, using a technique that Tali had shown her. When she was finished, she glanced at the girl's unconscious body,clad only in her black underwear and socks, she was athletic and slim, but not a patch on Shepard. Kelly left the underwear clad beauty in the attendants cupboard, forcing the door to lock with a omni-tool hack. She exited the club, dressed in her stolen uniform careful not to catch the eye of the asari bartender.


She made a detour to Saronis Applications, buying a sample container using the petty officer's credit chit. Kelly then proceeded down to bay E24, walking towards the checkpoint. The turian C-sec officer looked at her " Hey there, just step into the scanner and I will buzz you through." Kelly stood on the scanner plate, after 10 seconds the scanner flashed green. " Welcome back, PO Vicki Summers, you can go on through." Kelly flashed him a smile as she walked through the checkpoint into the docking bay. When she saw the angular shape of the Normandy SR 2, she felt goosebumps go down her spine, it still had this effect on her. Despite herself, Kelly let out a deep breath still overawed by the imposing ship, then she felt a swelling of pride in her chest at what Shepard and the Lazarus cell had accomplished. Collecting herself, Kelly walked up the Deck 5's boarding ramp past the Alliance inspection team, using her disguise to it's fullest. She walked into the elevator, pressing floor one, Shepard's cabin, taking a deep breath as the elevator ascended.


As Kelly walked out of the elevator, passing through the automatic doors to Shepard's cabin that opened with a chime, a floating blue spherical hologram appeared in front of her. " Hello Yeoman Chambers, longtime no see." Came the sultry voice of Normandy's AI, EDI." Kelly smiled, it felt good to see a familiar face, so to speak. "Unless you have joined the Alliance, that probability is statistically low, I would say you stole that uniform, a cunning stratagem." Kelly nodded. " Good to see you too, EDI. Sharp as ever, I see that the Alliance as not disconnected you. You must have fooled them into thinking your a VI." Kelly set down the sample container. " Now look who's sharp." Said EDI sarcastically. " Don't worry, my lips are sealed Ms Chambers. How can I assist you, Kelly?" Kelly filled the AImin on her plan. " So you think the way to Shepard's heart, is through the rescue of these aquatic creatures. Just when I thought I understood humans.." Kelly, who usually had plenty of time for EDI shot back angrily. " Look, EDI it's not just about Shepard, these fish are members of the crew too, they went through hell and back with the rest of us. The least we can do is not leave them behind." EDI paused a little before replying. " Sorry, Ms Chambers I was trying to make an attempt at humour, it was not my intent to provoke a negative emotional response. It was a joke." Kelly folded her arms, and sighed. " I don't know how Joker stands this. So EDI will you assist me?" EDI paused again. " The success of your endeavour, will increase by a factor of 94% percent with my assistance. I would be happy to help." Kelly smiled and laughed. " That's my girl, EDI. Now let's get to work. Between them it took, five minutes to empty the tank, store the fish safely inside the specimen container and for EDI to wipe the security cam footage from the Normandy's data banks. " Thanks EDI, I suppose this is Goodbye." EDI flashed a little before replying " The Normandy will be lesser without Ms Chambers, are sure you you won't come back, for old times sake." Kelly shook her head, then took one last look around the cabin. " Too many bad memories here EDI. You can do one more thing for me though." EDI's bars flashed in reply. " Name it, Kelly Chambers." As Kelly turned to leave, she looked over her shoulder. " Keep everyone safe, promise me you will keep Shepard alive." EDI flashed her bars in determination. " That as always been my primary goal, and I'am very efficient at it." Kelly smiled broadly as she walked onto the lift. ""That's my girl. Goodbye EDI and good luck." She said as EDI deactivated herself and the elevator descended.


It didn't take long, to retrace her steps and walk out of the docking bay. Once she was out of sight of the docking bay, she started to skip and whistle the tune from the Afterlife Nightclub. She had came back from her own suicide mission, triumphant. Kelly would keep the fish until Shepard would swing by for them. The stolen credit chit would buy her some new clothes, and the stolen uniform was comfortable, it would come in handy if she needed to scrounge medical supplies for the refugee camp. As she walked towards her apartment, she lived for the day when Cerberus and the Reapers were finished, it would be the day that she and the Commander would life the rest of their lifes in peace.

Great story!

The set up was so perfect. We learn that the engineer is a very pretty woman. And I love the idea of Kelly setting up a stakeout to find just the right woman to be her uniform donor. She then stalks the obviously engineer while the woman just goes for a night out dancing.

Then there is the knockout itself. The wonderful vagus nerve pinch. I love the description of the effect on the gorgeous young woman. She has just enough time to let out a cry of arousal before the pinch knocks her out. So indeed the stimulation of her vague nerve turned the woman on before rendering her unconscious.

The stripping was beautifully described. And wow does the idea of the woman being left in the cupboard in her sexy black bra and panties set, tied up and gagged is awesome.

I always love to add a little variety to my stories.

When I played the game, and Kelly said "By the way, I saved your fish." I always wondered how she did it. This was the fantasy I have had for a long-time, and I felt glad it could share it with the board. Kelly, next to Liara, is my most favourite female character of the game and I think I did her justice.

Me and my best friend, are both fans of the game, whenever we talk about this she agrees this is the way she probably did it.
