Wonder Woman : Diana's Day

Post by esercito sconfitto »

one of the most interesting concepts ever presented at our board, even if not a proper ' clothes theft', rather the essence of it

some Amazons dress up in deer suits and the other Amazons go hunting with bows and arrows that have suction cups on them. Of course, Diana is one of the best hunters. Etta rides a kanga and uses a lasso as she’s not very good with the bow and arrow. Once the hunters catch the “deer,” the deer are tied up and carried in a fireman’s hold to the kitchen.

The deer are then hung up and “skinned” (costumes unzipped, wearing their daily Amazon outfits underneath them). Then they’re re-tied up and put on some platters as food. Two dishes that are shown are “chicken” and a “pie” with several deer. The “deer” must then perform a dance when they’re untied.

this concept is so interesting and revealing , that it has been resumed and revised in " Earth One: Wonder Woman", by the sublime artist Yanick Paquette, one of the most astonishing pencillers of our age
