COPYCAT: DORM DAYS 1993

Post by darth chlorophorm »

HERE'S A NEW ONE, STARRING THE CAMPY COMICS UNIVERSE'S BEAUTIFUL SHAPESHIFTER, COPYCAT.
COPYCAT'S REAL NAKE IS JULIE FYNN, AND SHE WAS FIRST INTRODUCED BACK IN 1989, DURING THE LONG RUNNING "MASSACRE" STORYLINE.
THE MASSACRE STORYLINE FIRST STARTED OUT IN THE BEGINNING OF THE SUMMER OF 1989, AS A LONG SERIES OF AUDIO ADVENTURES, THAT ME AND MY FRIEND WERE RECORDING.
THE AUDIO ADVENTURES, WERE SUPPOSED TO PAY HOMAGE TO THOSE OLD RADIO DRAMAS FROM THE 30'S-50'S.
LATER, I STARTED DRAWING THE "MASSACRE" STORY IN COMICS.
IT LASTED FOR OVER A YEAR AND A HALF AND IS THE LONGEST STORY I EVER DID.
HOPE EVERYONE ENJOYS THE COMIC.

Finally mustered up the courage and motivation to take the time to find back this story, which is my favorite of yours, and comment on it. Worth it! Can't even explain why it's my favorite, probably because it's one of the first I saw.

Always liked scenarios in which heroines are forced to mug innocent people to stop evil. Copycat's reluctance makes it even better. The details of the girl being yanked and of the ID card were nice touches to give rythm to the scene. And nice use of shape-shifting, with a shape-shifter that doesn't transform her clothes into the ones of her victim and needs to still steal the clotbes. (I'm looking at you, Mystique...) Wish the girl was bound and gagged, but it's only a matter of personal taste ;) . I like the position in which she's left and the idea to use a sleeping drug to prevent her from interferring is probably one of the most realistic ways to neutralize a girl whose uniform has just been stolen...
