I did like the idea of her using the control on the female guard in Chapter 1, part 2. Just a little manipulation to distract the woman away from her concern about Anna's presence. Very good scene.

I also do like that Anna can make people see and hear things that are not there but also can impose complete mental dominance. It is very intriguing that Anna needs to know the woman's name before taking control of her mind. So she obviously needs to read the woman's mind first.

Love to picture pretty young Tabitha standing at her guard post with a look of boredom on her face. Her mind in wondering giving Anna an advantage. Perhaps Tabitha gets a bit of a strange feeling as Anna reads her mind to get her name. She may get a strange look on her face sensing the intrusion into her mind. It doesn't last long as the confused look is replaced by a blank stare as Anna quickly and easily gains total and complete control over Tabitha's mind.

Anna does use her natural good looks to her advantage. Combine that with the Order being made up of young sexually repressed women, in close proximity to each other, its not a surprise that they are open to dominance by Anna.

It's comes with being a vampire, in Stormward vampires and elves are considered the most attractive, females in particular. They have a mystique that sways even the most devout Novice.

Anna is still growing as a Vampire, she is still young. Her powers come from the mysterious Gisella, her sire and ruler of Nocturne.

In time and with age, Anna will have powers that rival hers.

I was re-reading this wonderful story and had to comment again. You include such wonderful descriptions of the scenes that allow the reader to imagine such vivid, and sexy, images.

This description: "As Tabitha collapsed sleeping naked to the cold floor, Katrina jumped on her lover, passionately kissing her on the lips. " What was that? That was so fucking... attractive." She has she pulled out. Anna smiled, flashing her fangs. " Mind control, some vampires like me can control their minds of mortals, get them to do our bidding. It only works on the weak minded." Katrina glanced down at the toned naked body of the sleeping Tabitha. " That doesn't say much about the Order's Novice's." Anna also spared the naked girl a glance. " As much as I like the idea of a threesome with two novices, we have to leave.' "

The idea of Katrina leaping into Anna arms and passionately kissing her while just a few feet the beautiful, naked Tabitha lays unconscious having been put to sleep by nothing more than a word from Anna is just so damn sexy. Then both Katrina and Anna gazing at Tabitha's sexy naked body. Just so good.

And of course the fact that Katrina had obviously be very aroused by watching Anna first control and then put to sleep the pretty brunette guard. Just so hot.

I think if you are going to write a story with vampires, then eroticism is a key part of that, as Vampires are very erotic by nature.

Even though Katrina had been in a previous relationship with a vampire, she never got up to any of this sort of thing. It's a new experience for her, and one she is keen to revel in.

However, I was wondering just how deep Anna's control is. For example do the women under Anna's control have any ability to put together their own thoughts on some level? Could they realize something was happening to them but they can't prevent it? For example did Tabitha on some level realize something was wrong and that she should resist but she just couldn't?

Or, on the other hand, are the women's minds so overwhelmed by Anna that they have absolutely no thoughts of their own on any level. They have no understanding that they are being controlled.

In theory, if Anna asked them to die for her they would. On some level the dominance is partly psychosexual. The novices are easy prey because of their sexual repression, and have a lot of untapped desire. The mind control draws power from this.

It's a complete sexual dominance, the women do derive pleasure from serving Anna, they exist essentially to please her, in theory Anna could well command them to make out with her, although she as Katrina. It applies to all vampires who have the gift. Anna recieved it from sire, the matriarch Gisella.

Since you had mentioned the difference between Rey's Jedi Mind Trick and Anna's vampire mind control I went back and was looking at this thread again.

Anna's mind control is really intriguing. The mind control as you say is "a complete sexual dominance". It is interesting to think that the woman the mind control is being used on is probably in a rather aroused state and probably getting more and more turned on as she follows Anna's commands. Not only is she totally under Anna's mental control but she is being sexually dominated too.

It is fun to think that in this story lovely little Tabitha was probably experiencing more and more sexual pleasure and getting aroused right up to the moment Anna used the mind control to put her to sleep.
