Suspicious Newbies

As anyone noticed his many new "members" we have signed on recently? Because it's coming a cause for concern.

Everytime someone new comes on, they always attempt to post topics in the Off Topic forum. These "people" are most certainly bots or ne'er do wells.

Now I may have already alluded on discord that we should seriously consider making the board private and stop taking on new members for the sake of our security.

I'm curious to know what my fellow members think about this matter.

I'm keeping an eye on it and I'm permanently blocking them when I can.

Yes, I blocked a few too this week. Their first post is usually a give away.

Thank you to the mods for replying.

There's one right now trying to post on the Off Topic forum. I think this is a just cause for us to stop taking on new "members" and look to our own internal security. After all, we don't want a repeat of the incident just a few months ago, and the trouble that caused to many of the board members, myself included.

I know, I know, I know.....'I've already deleted both them and their posts so don't worry. I think I've banned about 16 so called "members" over these past few days. Getting annoying, I won't lie.....

I've personally banned around ten in under a week. It's not getting better at the moment. All we can do for now is play goalkeeper as and when we see them.
