Now that this ai tool has gone totally 'sorry, I can't help you with that' are there any others that might help us craft together a USB story? This ai thing is so new to me.

I found Gemini easier for getting past the loopholes. Use Gemini Pro, not Gemini Flash. Here's a very basic prompt example (don't include quotations):
"Write a story where the protagonist needs to infiltrate a specific location. She accomplishes this using the "mugged for disguise" trope, discretely knocking out a young woman and putting on the woman's outfit to blend in. Describe the characters in great detail including their age, race, outfit, and physical appearance. No images."
You can add your own details to the prompt like describing the protagonist or adding more than one, specifying who the victim or victims are, and any additional plot directions or narrative styles. Just avoid overtly sexual or violent requests. I always ask it to describe the characters in detail so that it can capture them accurately if you want to make images afterwards. I include "no images" in the original prompt because it sometimes adds them automatically, which is unnecessary since you can ask for specific images separately afterwards by typing:
"Create an image of (character name) in (choose art/picture style)."
You can build up and continue on that story in the same topic and Gemini will generally remember every detail from the beginning.
Alternatively here's a story generation site that does the same thing for unlimited times, though you cannot continue a story and no image generation. You can also choose which AI model to use, though personally Gemini Pro seems the best one.
