Well, on that I agree wholeheartedly. I hope the ultimate victory will feel satisfying. That's one point of having the villains win. To make their defeat more satisfying. In Pakal, I remember having a hard time waiting to reach for the part in which Safiye would get her comeuppance... but she had to come out on top and to always land back on her feet for most of the saga to make her comeuppance feel satisfying. Though Taylor, Charlotte, and Sarah are meant to be a lot more sympathetic than Safiye. Especially Sarah. Next part will reveal a lot on their backstory, which had only been hinted so far, so hopefully they'll gain more depth.

Rufus, thanks for the abandoned Police car and especially for the SHIELD van , with all the tied up girls in undies :D

Please keep stashing half naked women in the vehicles 8-)

Soon I 'll start a toy car collection , model cars with tied up girls inside , this is a constant fantasy of mine since childhood

You're welcome. The plot won't make it possible during the next part, but given the higher and higher number of women involved in USB shenanigans, I'm quite sure such scenario is bound to happen again.

I think my favorite scene had to be the darting of Virginia. I like the idea of her not knowing she was darted and being put to sleep. Great description: "Because of the anesthetic, Virginia didn’t even feel the sting of the dart. She didn’t realize the sedative was already in her bloodstream." Love her feeling tired but not realizing she has been drugged and is being put to sleep.

And sexy description of her passing out "When she grabbed the backdoor’s knob, her legs betrayed her. Still holding the knob, she fell on her knees. However, by now she was too dizzy to realize the danger. She moaned sluggishly, then fell deeply asleep. Her hand let go of the of the knob as her body became limp. The unconscious woman slid against the wall, until she was lying on the ground."

My favorite scene of the story.

The little detailed description of the dart's effect was added with you in mind. ;)

I enjoyed a lot coming up with the image of Virginia sliding against the wall as she was falling asleep.

What a fun chapter. I always find it interesting when a story takes a break from the main heroines/villainesses and focuses on some newer characters, and this was a good example of that.

I like how Orchis is established in this story, with the introduction of Erin, Jill, and Lynn. They're all quite cool and professional, even while mugging civilians of their clothes, even engaging in critiques about the method.
“Sloppy work.” Lynn commented as she pulled off Kirsten’s green long-sleeved jacket and white t-shirt, leaving the worker clad in a red lacy full-cup bra adorned with flowers made of lace. “It’s not like you to need so many punches to knock out someone.”
I also love it when uniform stealing as a concept factors into a story, as was the case here. The Orchis agents engage in these tactics so as to pin it on and discredit their pro-mutant enemies. Fun stuff, as when Mayor Hargrove's team tried it with the USBs (albeit more successful this time  ).

Been waiting for Guillotine and Yellowjacket to make an appearance for a while. Nice to see Guillotine get such a central role, even if she's doomed to lose her costume in the end. The cultural divide is also quite amusing:
“Do all people wear undergarments themed after their jobs in America?”
Not much for Felicia, MJ, and Gwen in this chapter, but that's all right. This chapter does a good job setting up new threats and moving things in place for the future.

A bit late to answer. Busy week-end.

Thanks. It's a bit of a transition chapter, but it features scenes I've been longing to share for a long time - especially Guillotine's little odyssey of following a trail of mugged ladies... only to realize too late this trail was a trap all along. The "joke of the cultural differences" was my favorite joke of the chapter. ;) Who knows? Maybe Guillotine will come back at some point. I've written some parts of the epilogue earlier, and I can already tell some of the heroines who were unlucky to be featured as "victims of the week" will come back... but this time they may get more lucky. :P

The part with Orchis was a late addition to the draft, but I really like how it fits into the general story. Erin's, Jill's, and Lynn's casual cruelty towards the civilians they mug is meant to highlight how corrupt and hypocrite Orchis is at heart - since they won't hesitate to hurt the non-mutants they claim to protect. While not as destructive as Magneto's side, they are clearly supposed to be the most despicable faction of the setting. And I'm having tons of fun writing their boss Jefferson as this smarmy insufferable smug businessman... I was glad I could find a way to SHOW they're a "bad" faction (instead of just telling they're mean in dialogues) in a way that also features uniform stealing... It felt like a nice way to introduce the last major antagonistic faction of the saga. Now that all the key players are there, things will near the main climax...

MJ, Gwen, and Felicia are about to take the front seat once again. And maybe soon... After all, this is their saga first and foremost!
