At least her costume makes it look like she's in her underwear.

The new Gatchaman comic has two ALMOST scenes of interest in the second issue. At the start, the female assistant of a scientist turns out to be a henchwoman working for the bad guys there to kidnap him. It's unclear if she replaced the real assistant offscreen or if one ever existed at all.

At the end of the issue, the heroine Jun the Swan decides to take the henchwoman's place to infiltrate the evil organization she works for. Unfortunately, the henchwoman willingly surrenders and gives up her uniform and mask without a fight.

I actually noticed this when the book hit the stands.
I've read the first two issues and think this is shaping up to be a decent series.
Back in the late 70's, Battle of the Planets was one of my favortrite cartoons.

Re: Scenes that seem like a set up for a uniform steal but aren't
I found a few scenes that are in the so close yet so far away category. (Mostly offscreen replacement scenes)
The first one is in the movie Bubble Boy where the title character goes to convenience store and is desperate for a drink, and the lady behind the cashier allows him to take one for free solely because she doesn't work there herself and is there to rob the place herself and we see the unfortunate store owner underneath her. F/M Scene and starts around the 1hr 3min mark.

The next few are from Japanese Animes;
Umi no Yami, Tsuki no Kage EP2 - An evil twin sister replaces her twin to answer questions from a police investigation. F/F scene starts at 18min 30sc mark.
https://archive.org/details/umi-no-yami ... 002%5D.m4v
Stray Cats Overrun! EP8 - The characters are playing a competitive Jenga game and one of the girls have a team of maids assisting her from behind the scenes to make all the correct moves, as the game progresses it comes to the girl's turn and she makes the wrong move and when she questions her team she finds out that she has been tricked by a 'passerby' who is good with voice manipulation. F/F scene starts at the 13min 30sec mark.

Kokoro Toshokan EP5 - A master thief vows to steal a particular book from a library and at one stage replaces one of the female officers to try and steal it. M/F scene, technically starts at the 9min 40 sec mark as a hint that the thief has entered the premise but the actual lead up to the discovery scene of the poor female officer starts at the 12min mark.

And finally, Kaitou Joker Ep6 - Another thief wants to steal a crown from a museum and replaces a female officer to try and achieve this. M/F scene that starts at the 7min 30sec mark, reveal scene starts at the 9min 30sec mark. There is also an M/M scene at the 17min 20 sec mark for those who are interested and I just wanted to cover the different gender combinations F/F, F/M, M/F & M/M

Sorry if any of these scenes have been mentioned before.

From the manga Ranma 1/2, chapter 76. A girl playing Juliet during a play is at one point captured off-screen by a rival, who leaves her bound and gagged in a basement. However, no outfit is stolen - the rival is already wearing a similar-looking costume. Still a cool replacement scenario.

Another good find, rufusluciusivan!
Batman Eternal #7 has a scene where Catwoman escapes captivity by swapping places with the Penguin's female bodyguard. Would've been perfect had she actually stolen her outfit as well as a disguise.

Here is a scene that would have been a perfect uniform steal but unfortunately the victim is female and the others are male.
Not sure the source of the clip, but a man is in another man's hospital room. They apparently know a nurse will be coming because the one guy soaks a rag with chloroform and hides behind the door. When the pretty blonde nurse comes in he chloros her.
If only one of the people in the room was a woman it would have surely been a uniform steal.

Re: Scenes that seem like a set up for a uniform steal but aren't
There was a scene in the movie "Who Harry Crumb?" that seems like it could have easily been a uniform steal scene.
A woman is getting a mud treatment at a spa. A kidnapper comes for the woman and a female spa worker is preparing the woman for treatment. The kidnapper chloroforms the worker to knock her out. However, there is no need to impersonate her as the woman getting the treatment has covers over her eyes (plus the attacker is a male).
A few tweaks and this could have easily been a uniform steal scene. I actually really like the scene the way tbe woman is pulled behind the curtain and then we see her laid unconscious on the floor.

The spa worker struggling while being chloroformed and dragged behind the curtain is a great scene.
"Who's Harry Crumb?" is one of my favorite John Candy Movies. I truly believe it's one of his most underrated films.
