And now you resort to name calling, how petty and childish.

Well, I'am not going to sink to your level.

Again you miss the point, you always miss the point. Why are you even here? You never contribute, never post anything. You don't create. And you never have anything positive nor useful to say, just insults. You just hang on the coat tails of others, begging for scraps, begging for epilogues and asking silly questions without making up your own mind.

I know one thing, Simon. I will be ignoring you from now on and I suggest you do the same.

So let's agree to disagree and waste no more time on each other. I have better things to do.

Goodbye.

Well, I would say if you had a story in your head that you put on paper (past tense) then you will pretty much never reitre, your next stories might just stay in your head.
I for example retired from writing down the stories as i felt i had no "safe space" in my life to do so, but there are many ideas in my head. I am one of those peopel that would love to be more creative than i really am.
IF you don't feel like writing give it a break and maybe you will return to it.

I didn't comment in the past on your stories as those are not my kind of pie and I wouldn't even be able to tell you in any detail what to work on to improve your writing (opinion based).

And Simons - you prove yet again that you are a kid here, but either way, all the best!

Seeing as this is already turning into a free-for-all, I guess I can wade in. I hardly ever comment or post here (outside of private messages), as I don't really feel that I have that much to add to most discussions and am hyper-critical of my own written work to the extent that I only share it privately. However, this thread just got my goat, so to speak.

Simon4242, in my time lurking this forum over the past year, I have have found many of your posts to be overwhelmingly negative and somewhat nitpicky/demanding and sometimes argumentative in nature. It is small wonder that you find yourself in a spat here as well. I am sure that you probably don't have bad intentions, but putting some more consideration into how you phrase things would go a long way towards easing any friction, as it can be hard to read tone and intent through a screen. That aside, you seem to have a fairly well-defined set of parameters for what you would like to see in a story - perhaps you would like to submit your own at some point? I'm sure it would be well received, as the board could always do with new content.

SovietLUT, I have read most of your stories and have found them to be full of solid ideas and narrative progression and fairly unique in terms of setting/character interactions. Overall quite enjoyable. If I was to offer constructive criticism (and obviously, I'm saying this as somebody who hasn't publicly submitted anything), it would be to spend more time in each scene going over character sensations/feelings in order to draw the audience further into the scene and immerse them. Discovery scenes also seem to be quite popular on here, so maybe that could be worth inclusion as well.
For some further food for thought, here's some writing tips from the guy who wrote Fight Club, and which have served me quite well in my own fiction attempts: https://litreactor.com/essays/36-writin ... -palahniuk
Beyond that, I'm not really familiar with the forum politics, so can't really offer much advice about any drama going on. But do keep writing, as there are definitely people reading!

Jaffa!

post immediately here your stories!

I will build a sub-forum for them!

this board needs desperately some contribution from a writer inspired by the author of Fight Club :D

quoting you...

I'm sure it would be well received, as the board could always do with new content.

post here your stories Jaffa!

jaffa 3 posts and the first one about me is negative lol take your own advice ..... is this a public forum or an insular cult with shades of 1984 .. it seems some people prefer quantity to quality ..i do wonder if some people on here have ever stuck their heads out of their bedrooms or peep up from their laptop ,never was the saying more apt that one mans meat is another mans poison on this forum....
