The poor things never knew what hit them. They will wake 12 hours later with no idea of what happened to them. I like to imagine them being discovery but the people finding them having no idea what has been done to put them to sleep. I assume there would be no way to wake them until the effect wears off.

I like to imagine them being discovery but the people finding them having no idea what has been done to put them to sleep. I assume there would be no way to wake them until the effect wears off.

They would be in a temporary coma, with no way to wake them. It would be like some kind of suspended animation. Their biological process are still functioning, breath, digestion and waste excretion, but their consciousness is locked away as the brain is reset to "Factory settings" When they do wake, they would have a memory black hole. They would remember what they were doing up until the point, of being exposed to the sonic boom. Then their memory would draw a blank, the only realistic way for them to remember would be intense hypnotherapy.

When a woman is hit by the pulse from the grenade, she would the sensation similarly to being hit by a wave of water there wouldn't be any pain, except the sensation of being hit by cold water. The woman would feel the sensation of a sudden chill as the pulse spreads through the entire body, followed by numbness as her CNS is reset. Any thoughts that the woman my have are momentarily disrupted, as the pulse resets her brain and she falls unconscious into a temporary coma.
