My first story- New blood

Hello all,

While I'm quite new at writing US stories, I've decided to write some stories myself. This is the first one. I being new to this, all comments and observations will be welcomed and noted, as it can help for future stories. I've got a lot of plans for this series so hopefully you can help me get better.

I would like to thank very much Stormtrooper and tirepanted for all of the help and the inspiration provided. I'll now cut to the chase.


New Blood



The burly man looked at the documents in desked, and then at the young woman who was sitting in front of him.  “I must say, Ms Cassidy, that you look very promising!” said LaVille, as that was his name “I’m sure that with this training results you will fit right in!” and, after stamping the documents, pressed his intercom button  “Emily, please tell Team Leader 1903 to enter” “Now Ms Cassidy, or can I call you Jane?” said LaVille “of course Mr LaVille” said the ash-blond woman “well Jane, I’ll show you your direct superior, TL 1903, or Kate Buchannan if you prefer”.

In that exact same moment entered a woman in her late thirties, but still beautiful for her age. She was dressed in street clothes, black Jeans, black t-shirt and red leather jacket and had her short red hair in a pixie haircut. On her face was the expression of someone who greatly prefers the practical aspects of life than the theoretical, and clearly did not belong in that office.

“Superintendent” said the woman after which she looked at Jane and acknowledged her with a slight nod in her head, “You’ve called for me” said Kate looking again at LaVille. “Yes Kate “said the man “This young lady here is the newest recruit of our organization, and I trust that a woman of your abilities will be able to shape her in one of our best agents.
She looks very promising, at least in her file”
“Documents can deceive “said the Team Leader, while Jane tried to make herself smaller and smaller “but I’m sure that you’ll prove yourself in this first mission, will you Newbie” “O..of course ma’am” said Jane “And please “ said Kate “call me boss” “Yes ma.. boss” “ I see that you are a fast learner Newbie” said the Team leader smiling “You’ll fit right in”

“Well, Kate, you’ve already been briefed on the mission and I wouldn’t want to interrupt this team bonding exercise, so I’ll leave you two to your mission. Are we clear?” said LaVille “Yes Sir!” answered the two women in unison.




Some time later, Classified Location, Airport



“Well boss ,I still haven’t understood what we are supposed to do” “Good Newbie, the only thing you have to know right now is that we are to reach Bangkok” “And how are we supposed to do that?” “Remember your training Newbie? That’s how. By the way, ever thought about becoming a hostess”

And in that moment Jane understood. “See that broom closet” said Kate “We are going to wait there for our ticket to Bangkok aren’t we “said Jane “Very good Newbie, as I’ve said you are a fast learner"

“Well Rosie, Bangkok!” said the beautiful red-headed stewardess in a very distinctive Irish accent “I know right!” Answered the stunning African-American woman, also clad in her uniform “I’m really looking forward to it! You know, Stacey, I could really use one of their mass…Urgh” “Wha:mmmph”

In less than a blink the two hostesses were grabbed by behind and disappeared inside the broom closet. After a few seconds of struggle no one could have guessed what was really happening and what were the two luggages doing left in the middle of the floor.

“Nice work with the red-head Newbie. They really do train you well” said Kate as she was busy divesting Rosie of her uniform “Thanks boss” said Jane as she was doing the same with Stacey “but I still have much to learn” “That’s what I’m here for Newbie. By the way do not forget the pantyhose. You don’t want to look out of uniform” Said uniform consisted in a Navy-blue jacket and matching skirt, a light blue camisole and a foulard with the air company colours, in this case in light green. And of course, the pantyhose and the black heeled shoes. A circular hat and a little purse completed the assemble.

“Well, now that we are all dressed Newbie, what do we do?” “We make sure that the real stewardesses aren’t found until we are out of here?” “You are learning” said Kate, passing her some tape she had put in the purse. After tying the two’s hands and ankles and taping their mouths, Jane contemplated her work: the two were only dressed in their underwear, matching sky blue for Rosie and light pink for Stacey, and looked like they weren’t going anywhere. “They look so peaceful” “Well Newbie, rest is only for the dead and for replaced hostesses, so let’s get moving, because we have a flight to catch. Or you could stay here, but I assure you that when these two will wake up in a few minutes they won’t be as peaceful as they seem now”
“I guess you are right, we do have a flight to catch” said Jane.

After that, the two got out of the closet, closed the door, grabbed “their” suitcases and headed for their plane.






Now Newbie, remember to always smile and to be as genuine as possible” “What if I panic boss? What if drop some hot coffee on a passenger?” “Well, it’s easy: don’t do it"





I’m nervous boss” “You’ve been doing fine” “Alright I’m just tired of staying up and going up and down the plane” “Well, Newbie, sit a bit. Here, have a brochure” “Thai dances?” “The air company has a contract with some theatres…






Bangkok, a long inter-continental flight later



“I must say boss, after this flight my respect for hostesses all around the world has increased by a lot. God, it is a tyring and ungrateful job.” “Will this new-found respect prevent you from knoking one out and take her place should her need arise?” “No boss but I can say that I will not look forward doing her job.” “That’s not necessary Newbie, as long as…” “As long as what boss?” “That’s for another time, right now we have another problem”

Having said that, Kate pointed to Jane the passport control booths that were in front of them. “Time to shine Newbie” said Kate with a little smile “I’ve got some false papers courtesy of our forgery division, but I can’t say the same for you. You see, we want operatives who can improvise and have good observation skills, so you will have to pass the passport check without a passport think you can do that?” “Of course boss” said Jane with a radiant smile, eager to prove herself. “Good Newbie. I’ll give you a little help: we’ve bribed one of the guards to let you pass without documents, but its up to you to find which one.” Having said that, Kate went for the first booth, flashed her passport and was granted access by the guard.

“Now Jane, think” said to herself the ash-blonde woman “Who should I try?” As she was thinking that she was looking at the 3 booth that were in front of her, and at the three guards. The guard in booth 1 was a woman who after letting Kate pass had returned to compulsively put in order the paper clips on her desk “Hard pass”.
In booth two was a man who was more interested in his computer than in whatever was happening around him “Maybe he is trying to find a way to spend all the money we have given him, but it’s still risky” .
But it was when she saw the third booth that she decided to try her luck. The guard there was looking at the clock on the wall every now and then. Clearly because his turn was almost up. “I have to try” thought Jane. “As she got closer to booth 3 the guard looked at her with a bored look and asked “your passport please” “I’m sorry” said Jane trying to sound as genuine as possible “ but I seem to have lost it. If you want you can help me search for it on my plane, or you can let me pass. You know, I am with the hostess you colleague has let in, she can vouch for me” having said that, she waved at Kate, who was waiting for her outside and who waved back.

Seeing that, and thinking to himself that she looked pretty harmless and that his turn had almost ended, he said “What the hell, get inside miss, but don’t cause any trouble” As she was let in by the guard, she was welcomed by a very impressed Kate “Well done Newbie” Why are you saying that?” “Because we bribed booth number 2 not number 3 said Kate. Jane smiled to herself.


Outside of the Airport


“Now, Newbie, we must reach our target, don’t worry I know where, and we must do it not dressed like hostesses unless we want everyone to look at us, some suggestions? “Yes boss” said Jane, nodding in the direction of two female tourists who looked their size.


“You know Anne” said the raven- haired woman in French “I’m not really liking Bangkok” “I can’t say that I agree Lucie, but it sure would be nice to find a way to get out of this airport! There’s not even a taxi in site” answered the brunette.

At 24 and 26 the two friends had decided to visit the famed city, but had found themselves stranded at the airport for more than an hour as they did not seem to find a way to actually reach the city. Dressed in a blue (Lucie) and a white (Anne) summer dress, elegant flat sandals who really weren’t a good choice for a tourist and both with a pair of sunglasses and a hat on their head, they screamed tourist, in particular the “I’ve got too much money” kind of tourist.

As they were discussing amongst themselves in French, Kate got close and using the little authority a stewardess uniform could have outside an airport asked them “Do you need any help?” “Anne said “Yes, we do. Can you tell us where we can find a way to get to the city? All of the taxis here seem to ignore us!” “But of course,” said Jane “The airport offers a special shuttle to and from the city. “Told you” Said Lucie “Can you please tell us where to go” “Of course ma’am” Kate “Please follow our lead”


“Hey there’s no shuttle here only a dumpster” said a voice with a French accent, followed by the sounds of a brief struggle. “Well done, Newbie” “Thanks boss” “Now let’s get to work”.

In no time the two tourists were stripped down to their black (Anne) and light yellow (Lucie) underwear, tied with tape hand and foot and gagged, as well as hidden in the alley. Dressed like Anne, Kate looked at Jane and said “well, let’s go” “What are we doing now?” asked Jane, dressed like Lucie “We take a taxi, Newbie”



Somewhere in the historic centre, Bangkok, sometime later


“I didn’t know that to take a taxi you just have to wave some money boss” “Well Newbie you don’t really need to, but it sure helps.” “So, what are we doing here” “All in good time, but first play the lost tourist for me will ya” said Kate, showing Jane an alley and telling her to go hide in there.

Not long after, Kate returned, followed by two Thai policewomen “I tell you officer, she’s lost! The last time I saw her she was heading in this alley!” “Doesn’t’ worry ma’am, we will find her won’t we Anong? “Sure Praew, you don’t really have anything to worry about ma’am, if your daughter really went this way she won’t be very far, this alley is a cul-de-sac”.

The two young and beautiful police officers were dressed in the standard Thai police uniform for women: a beige skirt and jacket, a white shirt with a black tie, black high-heeled shoes, nude pantyhose and a beige hat. Around their waist they both had a belt with both a gun and a baton, as well as a pair of handcuffs in a back pocket of the belt. “The perfect disguise for anyone who wants to get somewhere where she shouldn’t be” Jane thought to herself as she emerged from behind the pile of trash where she had hidden herself.

“You most certainly are not a 10-year-old girl!” said Anong “Oh I’m just very mature for my age” “Having Jane said that, the two operatives jumped the policewomen, quickly rendering them unconscious. “Newbie, you know what to do” “Yes boss, I’ve always dreamed of being a policewoman when I was little” “Well, this is the very next thing to it so get to work”.

In no time the two Thai women were down to their white underwear, and had their hands tied with their own handcuffs as well as their mouths taped.
“Let’s get moving shall we Newbie”


The back entrance of an auditorium, not too far from the alley, Bangkok


“So boss, will I finally learn what we are doing here? And are you sure that we can be here? I doubt that we can be here and we don’t really look like Thai policewomen” “Well Newbie, most people when they see a uniform look at that, and not at the face of the one who wears it, and I don’t really thing that some technicians have an urge to ask to two armed women what they are doing. Regarding your first question, do you remember the brochure I gave you on that flight?” “Traditional Thai dances boss?” “Exactly” “I think I’ve understood where this is going. We are going to dance, are we?” “Well, I was right, you are smart”
“Only one thing boss, why are we dancing?” “Because our boss will be assisting, this entire thing was made to see if you can handle impersonating people, even if they will go in the middle of the stage.

The boss is here to see how good you are. And by boss I don’t mean LaVille. I mean the director. The boss of every member of the organization”

Jane really wanted to say that maybe it would have been best to tell her that before, but the two had reached a changing room “Ready newbie?” “As always boss”

The two beautiful women were already dressed in the traditional garments of Thai dancers, Full length sarongs and jackets with a matching shoulder cloth, blue for Kantima and light green for Dara, when two policewomen barged in
“What do you need?” asked Dara “Why, your clothes” answered Kate.

After some minutes, the two real dancers had been tied and gagged with some white clothes that was in the changing room, and were fearfully looking at the two women who were now dressed as them, having left them with only their grey panties and bras. “Don’t worry” said Kate “Just keep quite alright” as the two bound women fearfully nodded, the two new dancers prepared for their routine, closing the door behind them.


“Do you Think I’m ready boss” “Of course you are Newbie”


Sometime later, a safehouse, Bangkok

“How do you think I was boss?” “You were perfect Newbie, nobody noticed that we were not real dancers” “Do you think that the Director thinks like you” “Of course”

Kate’s phone started ringing “I’m sorry Newbie, I have to take it”

“Madam director, I didn’t know you were that good at dancing”  “News travels fast Albert?” “I suppose it does. I’m still surprised that you work in the field, and even worse, with only a newbie with you”  “You know, that “newbie” is more talented than most of our senior operatives, but what would you know? “You are right ma’am, I’m only your secretary. I’m calling you due to a new contract we have received” “Of course” said Kate “Once I’m back to base I’ll start looking at it”

There are too many witnesses left who can identify the appearance of the perpetrator .
I think it would require a lot of money to bribe or seal up .

Hello pc,

You are right, it would require a lot of money to avoid that the victims go to the police and signal their attackers. And if at the police they were particulary attentive, they could even map the entire mission, and, after some other missions in the country, even pick up the pattern.

But they don't. The Organization has got deep pockets but it’s not just money. For now let's just say that the higher ups have an interest in covering up for the Organization. It's also why the Organization cannot kill all of the witnesses.I promise that this will be adressed very soon. Still, you have given me an idea, so thank you!

well this is your first "USB " short tale then this is the official welcome on board. I love your fast pace, and the action sometimes mainly based on dialogues . please don't stop

Thank you very much for the feedback esercito! I also would like to be more detailed in the descriptions, but I’m afraid I'm not that good at writing. Still, as I (hopefully) get better at writing I will try to dedicate more time to descriptions
