It shows! I do love the way you describe how they work. Something cool about the idea of "overriding the CNS" and putting the woman's brain into "sleep mode". Somehow I find that really intriguing.

Intriguing and quite sexy, all in one. The human body is essentially a giant battery, the brain, heart and CNS all work through electrical Stimulation. Our sense of touch is electrical, as are feelings of arousal. A weapon that non-lethally disrupts those impulses, could theoretically put a woman down for a long time. Allowing our infiltrators to strip them and stash them, without worrying about rope or gags.

Indeed. The women are basically "short circuited" and are "shut down" for awhile. It is such a cool concept. The women's CNS system is nearly completely shut down. They are rendered deeply unconscious but the advanced technology allows their hearts to still beat and their lungs to still breath. Therefore the women are just knocked out, not killed.

As Iona comes from a race of aliens that are the intergalactic police force of the UGC, they develop both lethal and non-lethal weapons to aid in their police work. As Iona's code prevents her from killing innocents, weapons like the stun blaster are to capture wanted fugitives. Or in this case to render local women unconscious, and steal their identities to allow the Justiciar to discreetly track her bounties, without attracting local attention.

Novices are like friars so it could work, I have an idea. What if a young Siobhan knocks out a pretty young novice at her orphanage and steals her habit to escape. Once she's out on the outside, she mugs a pretty student for her clothes and money. Starting her life of Petty crime, until she gets recruited by Darkwatch.

I think a police report from the Police Service of Northern Ireland would do the trick. I will add it to the list.
