Personal Profile.

Nadja Gadot was born to Eli Gadot and Ludmilla Gadot, from a line of Hungarian Jews that settled in the area after WWII. Both parents IDF, her father was a Sergeant her mother a corporal. Tragedy struck early in Nadjas life when her parents were killed in a HAMAS rocket attack, when she was 8. Her parents died in front of her while she escaped relatively unscathed, she was sent to live with the family of her mother's sister in Jerusalem. Nadja grew up a troubled child, prone to truancy and arrested by police several times for drugs offences and assault. When she turned 16, Nadja was sent to the IDF as part of national service. Initially a troublemaker, she met a woman who would have a profound impact on her life. Nadja met and fell in love with Gallia Sayer a fellow recruit, they however had to keep their relationship secret on account of the armies strict censure on homosexuality, and to avoid being disowned by their families. It seemed that Gallia centred the rebellious Nadja, as the two developed a loving albeit secret relationship. It was also in the army that she took a degree in Chemistry, where her knowledge of toxins and chemicals was born.

However, at the age of 20, now a Corporal, Nadja suffered a traumatic ordeal that would come to define her. While on patrol on the West Bank, Nadja and Gallia were captured by HAMAS militants. Stripped of their uniforms and tortured for information, Nadja was forced to watch her lover being brutally murdered in front of her eyes. She was then savagely beaten and later dumped naked along with the naked body of her beloved, in a landfill. Nadja was later rescued by IDF forces, during her treatment she was threatened with the exposure of her lesbian relationship unless she took a dishonourable discharge. Refusing to let her lovers name be tarnished, Nadja took the offer but never forgave the officer.

Recruited into the Mossad as a field agent, a broken Nadja was cited numerous times for alcohol abuse, excessive use of force, later manslaughter, and conduct unbecoming. She was later fired, and left unemployed. According to her file, it is believed that Nadja's first murder was an IDF soldier, she took the dead woman's uniform and weapons. Using them, she first murdered the ten HAMAS who had beaten her and killed her lover and later the IDF colonel who had threatened her in hospital. Broken and on the run, Nadja was recruited into the Shadow Initiative by mother, though many questioned the decision citing her propensity for violence.

During the course of her career in the Shadow Intiative, Nadja shocked many with her callous disregard for the lives of civilians, she would brutally murder many for just their clothing, others for just being in her way. Many in the SI were considering arresting her and sending her to a blacksite for incareation. That was until the arrival of the second woman that would define her life. After rescuing and recruiting Nightingale, the two gradually developed into a loving relationship. This caused a transformation in Nadja, through Nightingales compassion, understanding and shared pain, both women were able to come to terms with their past and move forward. The are now in a stable marriage. With Nadja turning her back on the act of killing itself.

Throughout the campaigns against the SEB and later Darkwatch, Nadja as shown exceptional leadership, courage and ability. And will continue to be an important asset in future operations. Nadja is also responsible for the concept and development of the Morpheus gas grenades, a design that she is still perfecting, with introduction of the Mk2 series. She is currently on leave with her wife Miranda.

Psychological Profile

It is not fully understood were Nadja's need to kill came from. Many psychoanalysts in the SI attribute this to the deaths of her parents at an early age leaving an indelible mark on her psyche. While others believe that she was, and still is, suffering from undiagnosed PTSD, this coupled with drink and depression led her to blame not only the militants but the IDF as well. Whatever the reason, while this shouldn't excuse her crimes, as I myself can attest to, it should go someway to understanding them.

The appearance of Miranda in Nadja's life as been a positive influence. With Miranda's work ethic, compassion and ability to forgive, Nadja as completely mended her ways and as even reconnected with her Jewish faith. As the two are in a committed loving relationship, many in the SI fear would could happen to Nadja, if something were to happen to Miranda. Would it cause a regression from which there is no turning back?

The couple work well together, many describing Miranda as the brains and Nadja the brawn. They also show sexual freedom and enjoy the act of disguise and infiltration, deriving shared sexual pleasure from it.

She as turned down promotions to station head many times, still preferring to lead from the front and refusing to be parted from her wife's side.

You are welcome, I enjoyed writing her redemption arc, and her relationship with Nightingale. Vesper deserved a second chance and some peace.
