" Nadia Does Hollywood" by Kristoph ( at DS )

Post by esercito sconfitto »

( Author's note ) It's bee a while, but I figured it was time to finish follow up on a cliffhanger of sorts I left in 'And then there were more' a while ago. If you haven't read the original story, don't worry, I'll add a short summary below.

Part 1: https://www.uniformstealingboard.com/vi ... =41&t=4756

Part 2: https://www.uniformstealingboard.com/vi ... =41&t=4757

Story so far: A crazy girl with a fixation on winter jackets killed 9 people at an old farm house deep in the mountains of Norway. A few months later a group of curious women decided to explore the old house for various reasons, but unfortunately for them the killer was hiding among them. The killer was caught and arrested, but not before killing all but one of the girls. Elin, a true crime writer, was the only survivor.

One year after the second round of killings Elin’s book has become a best seller and is being turned into a movie being shot by a small film crew on location at the old farmhouse where the killings took place. With Nadia safely behind bars, what could possibly go wrong? (Yup, she’s totally still in jail… honest…)

Nadia Does Hollywood - Part 1

Birgit pointed the Uzi at the approaching knife wielding blonde and squeezed her eyes shut as she pulled the trigger. “Die, Nadia!”

The blonde stumbled back into the darkness, her dark blue jacket and scarf covered face lit up by the rapid muzzle flashes from the automatic weapon. Within seconds the gun clicked empty and silence filled the forest. Approaching carefully Birgit peered down and nudged the killer with her booted foot, she lay unmoving in the fresh powder snow…

“That was pretty good, the fall looked a lot better that time.” Birgit said, smiling.

“You think so?” The ‘dead’ girl asked as she climbed to her feet.

“Yeah, Lisbeth,” Birgit confirmed. “It was great, let’s call it a night, shall we?”

Lisbeth bit her lip. “I really want to get this right.”

Birgit: An actress playing one of the victims.

Birgit groaned as Lisbeth brushed herself off and resumed her position. “Do we have to do this again?” she whined, huddling into her red jacket. On Lisbeth’s insistence they’d found a spot far enough from the makeshift camp the crew had set up that they could rehearse without drawing too much attention, but enough was enough. “It’s dark and cold… I just want to go to bed.”

“Just a few more times,” Lisbeth said soothingly. “I want to make sure my reaction is convincing.”

“Come on! This scene doesn’t even make any sense!” Birgit complained. “They caught the killer, she was just some random psycho, there is no way she could survive a hail of bullets!”

“Who cares,” Lisbeth said. “Leave that to the writers, now shoot me again, please.”

Birgit threw up her hands and grabbed the Uzi, loaded it with fresh clip of blanks and assumed her position. “Fine! I’ll shoot you a few more times.”

Here we go! Lisbeth thought. You got this! She jumped out from her hiding place, laughed maniacally and lunged at Birgit who screamed, jumped back and opened fire. Prepared for the noise and flash of light Lisbeth began to throw herself backwards and… Without warning something punched her in the belly, then the chest, then a dozen more places. Her body jerked and spasmed uncontrollably as the very real bullets tore trough her jacket, and more importantly, her body. She was lifted off her feet and tumbled backwards onto the snowy ground, air exploding from her lungs and leaving her gasping for air.

“That one looked really good!” Birgit called out as she rushed over. “You jumped a lot further that time and… oh… ohmygod!”

Nadia: Homicidal maniac with a thing for jackets.

Nadia grinned, she’d been starting to worry they’d never get to the live rounds she’d planted among the blanks, but judging by Birgit’s panicked reaction it was finally showtime. She stepped out from her hiding place and approached the two actresses. Birgit was completely oblivious to her presence and Lisbeth… well, she wasn’t in a position to do much.

“D-don’t worry! You’ll be… uh… it’s just a scratch!” Birgit insisted as she applied pressure to a wound directly between Lisbeth’s breasts, she glanced around at the other two dozen bullet wounds and whimpered. “Y-you’ll be fine…”

As if to contradict the hapless brunette Lisbeth coughed and spasmed as blood leaked from her lips. She gagged and spat, perhaps trying to speak, but no words came.

“Try using your jacket to cover the wounds,” Nadia suggested helpfully.

Birgit nodded quickly and began to unzip her jacket, revealing a thin, white sweater underneath. “Yeah, good idea,” she said, turning her head towards Nadia. “Do you think…”

Nadia smiled wickedly as the foolish girl turned and saw her face. “Hi,” she said brightly. “I’m Nadia.”

Lisbeth released a strangled, gurgling cry.

“Th-that’s impossible,” Birgit stammered. “How are you here?!”

“That’s not really your main problem,” Nadia said and motioned to the crossbow in her right hand. “You wouldn’t believe the cool toys they have in that prop tent.”

“You did this!” Birgit said, leveling the Uzi at Nadia.

Nadia rolled her eyes. “Technically you were the one that shot her, but I suppose-”

The Uzi clicked mechanically as Birgit pulled the trigger. “Wha-?”

“I’m pretty sure you already used all your bullets on your friend there… Now, are you just going to sit there or are you going to make this interesting?”

Birgit looked from the crossbow to Nadia and finally down to Lisbeth. “I’m sorry,” she whispered and took off running.

Lisbeth grasped weakly after her friend, but she was already gone.

“Don’t worry,” Nadia said, smiling down at the dying blonde. “I’ll bring your friend back.”

Birgit ran in a wild panic, bobbing and weaving between the trees, if she could only make it to the camp by the house she’d be safe. She can’t kill us all… can she?

Something whizzed by her head and struck a tree only a few feet away, a few inches to the left and it would have struck the back of her head… If the weapon was anything like the ones they used in the movies it would take a while to reload. Just a little further!

Suddenly the lights from the camp were visible through the trees and Birgit felt a surge of hope, she was almost there, she just needed to…

Pain shot trough her lower back and she stumbled to her knees. Looking down the front of her jacket she could see the cause, the tip of a crossbow bolt was sticking out of her jacket just a few inches from her belly button. Oh god…

“If you stay still I’ll try to make it quick!” Nadia called from the darkness.

“f**k you!” Birgit growled, surprising herself. She staggered to her feet and began moving as fast as she could, she was almost close enough to be heard from the camp…

The second bolt hit her upper back and exited right above her left nipple, once again she stumbled and fell, but like before she willed herself to stand. She took a few shaking steps before the third bolt punched into her right butt cheek. She collapsed to all fours and looked towards the camp, she’d been so close.

“You got further than I thought you would,” Nadia admitted as she walked up to her prey. “I’m impressed.”

Birgit closed her eyes and waited for the end, but just as she thought it was all over she heard voices from the direction of the camp, it was Lin and Unni! She wasn't sure what the two were doing out at this hour, but she didn’t much care. “Hel-!”

The final bolt was fired at point blank range and took Birgit in the back of the neck, punching trough her throat and cutting off her final cry for help. The girl twitched and jerked as she twisted in the snow, but her soft gurgling was far too soft to be heard by anyone in the camp.

As Nadia dragged her away into the darkness Birgit caught sight of the two women leaning against a nearby tree, completely oblivious to her presence.

Lin (Left) & Unni (Right): The camera crew, currently sampling the local produce.

“You hear that?” Unni said, peering nervously into the darkness. “I think someone’s out there!”

“Nope,” Lin said passing her friend the joint with a chuckle. “Paranoia hitting you already?”

Unni glanced down at the joint. “I guess…”

“I’m sure another hit or five will fix it,” Lin said happily.

“There!” Nadia said with satisfaction as she looked down at her victims. She’d stripped them—making sure to put the jackets aside—and placed them side by side against a fallen tree. Their pale, cooling bodies contrasted strongly with the blood that covered them both, making for a striking view.

Taking a long look at Lisbeth Nadia had to admit there was a decent resemblance, with the scarf covering her face it would be hard to tell them apart… Nadia smiled as inspiration struck.

Nadia Does Hollywood - Part 2

Having salvaged what she could of Lisbeth’s costume Nadia made her way towards the fallen star’s trailer looking for a replacement jacket. It wouldn’t do to walk around with a giant hole in the front of her costume after all. She saw a few cast and crew moving about, but no one payed her any mind as she made her way trough the camp. She walked into the luxurious trailer, flicked on the lights and stopped dead in her tracks, she wasn’t alone… On the bed in front of her lay a gorgeous, naked woman with caramel skin and a tentative smile on her face.

Image

Klara: Unexpected visitor.

Normally Nadia would welcome such a surprise, but her plan hinged on not alerting the rest of her victims, taking out this girl without making too much noise would be difficult. Who the hell is she? Nadia wondered, she’d done extensive research and had found no indication that Lisbeth had a girlfriend, the trailer should have been empty. She could fool someone at a distance, but this close? And with Lisbeth’s lover? There was no way…

Klara’s smile faltered slightly as Nadia hesitated. “Please don’t be mad…” she said. “I know this is kinda crazy, but… I’m your biggest fan! I came all the way from-”

“We’ve never met…” Nadia said softly, as if to herself. Her mask hid her sudden predatory smile.

“N-no… I’ve tried to get close to you, but security usually caches me,” Klara said sheepishly. “Are you mad? All I want in life is to make you happy.”

Well, I do need to kill some time… Nadia thought. She grabbed Klara’s jacket from the pile of clothes by the bed and tossed it to her. “Put that on.”

Klara’s face fell. “You’re throwing me out?”

“No,” Nadia said. “I’m a method actress, I’m just staying in character.”

“You won’t regret this!” Klara said as she hurriedly donned the white jacket. “Do you want me to put on any thing else?”

Nadia climbed into the bed. “No, that will do nicely.”

***

“You know,” Klara said hours later as she bent to pick up the rest of her clothes. “You sound different in real life… or is it just that scarf covering your mouth that does it?”

“Yeah…” Nadia said as she walked up behind the girl and pulled out her knife. “That must be it.”

“So…” Klara said and licked her lips nervously. “Do you want to… I mean, I really enjoyed that, do you think-”

Nadia gently put her hand over Klara’s mouth from behind and pulled her close. “Sorry, babe, I’m not looking for anything long term.”

Klara’s disappointment was short lived. The tip of Nadia’s knife erupting from between her full breasts and slicing trough her jacket consumed the bulk of her attention for the rest of her life, all 32 seconds of it.

“It pierced your heart,” Nadia whispered in her victim’s ear. “If I leave it in place you might live for a few minutes, but unfortunately I’m in a bit of a hurry.”

Klara met her killer’s eyes in the large mirror opposite the bed, her unasked question was answered as Nadia pulled down her mask and smiled at her. The dying girl tried to speak, but the words were muffled by Nadia’s hand.

Nadia chuckled. “Sorry, sweetie, the ‘love of your life’ had a bit of an accident with an Uzi.” Klara spasmed in her grip and blood leaked from her mouth and out between Nadia’s fingers. “Say ‘hi’ to her for me, would you?”

After pushing Klara’s body onto the bed Nadia claimed the damaged and blood stained jacket as her trophy and left her plaything staring up at the ceiling.

Nadia Does Hollywood - Part 3

Elin: Writer and sole survivor of Nadia’s second rampage.

Image

Alexandra: A studio executive.

Image

Kaja: The director.

Nadia approached the directors trailer and peeked in trough the window, her old friend Elin was in a heated argument with two other women.

“I’m just saying,” Alexandra said with exasperation. “A supernatural killer would be far more intimidating.”

“No,” Kaja protested. “Enough of that patriarchal bulls**t, I-”

“It has nothing to do with her gender!” Alexandra snapped. “The long and short of it is that with Halloween around the corner she’ll be competing with the likes of Jason Voorhees and Freddy Kruger, we need someone scary!”

“Shut up!” Elin barked. “Both of you! It doesn’t matter what you think, I was there! It happened! You can’t just change a true story!”

Alexandra snorted. “You’d be surprised…”

Elin glared at her.

“I’m sure it was a terrifying experience for you,” Alexandra said condescendingly. “But we need someone that will intimidate everyone, including grownups.”

Elin’s face twitched. “Do you want to inspire a sequel? Because I’m pretty much ready to go on a rampage of my own…”

“I think that’s enough for now,” Kaja cut in. “It will be dawn in a few hours, we need to get some rest before the morning shots.”

“Fine,” Alexandra growled. “It would probably be a waste of money to start re shoots at this point anyway…”

Nadia watched Alexandra stomp off into the darkness, she’d been considering taking out all three of them while she had the chance, but she’d quickly changed her mind. Not intimidating enough, am I? We’ll see about that… She followed Alexandra, but to Nadia's surprise she wasn't heading to her own trailer, she was heading to Vivian's. I think I like where this is going...

Vivian: An ambitious actress hoping to expand her part in the movie.

Vivian hadn’t been happy about being woken up so early, but she hid it well, and she knew better than to annoy Alexandra when she was in one of her moods. They’d quickly made their way to the parking lot and into the back seat of Alexandra’s SUV. She bit her lip and moaned softly as Alexandra unzipped her red jacket to reveal nothing but a black lace bra underneath, just like Alexandra liked it. “So,” Vivian said breathlessly. “You’re going to give me more lines in the movie, right?”

“Sure,” Alexandra said distractedly as she unzipped her own jacket. “Just shut up and-”

Vivian squealed excitedly and pulled the older woman down on top of herself.

The two half naked women were far too preoccupied to notice Nadia slipping into the driver’s seat of the car, nor did they notice when she locked the doors and windows. After enjoying the show for a few minutes Nadia cleared her throat theatrically and the to half naked women sat bolt upright and looked around in confusion. “I really do hate to interrupt…” Nadia began before taking in the sight of the two topless women in the mirror, their jackets hung open, but were pulled far enough aside to give an excellent view. “No, that’s a lie, this is awesome.”

“What the f**k do you want?” Alexandra demanded. “If this is about black mail I’ll-”

“I’m just here to prove a point,” She disengaged the parking break and the car began to roll slowly down hill.

“Careful!” Vivian warned, her eyes were wild with panic trough her frazzled hair. “We’re on the top of a mountain, if you don’t watch where you’re going we could-”

“Plunge to your deaths?” Nadia finished for her.

Alexandra trailed off from her stream of threats and random expletives, realization dawning on her face. “I-I know you… I’ve seen your picture in the news.”

“Ah, good!” Nadia beamed. “My reputation precedes me.”

Alexandra lunged towards her, but Nadia was expecting something to that effect and quickly raised the privacy barrier meant to keep the driver from seeing whatever went on in the back seat. With the two women contained she stepped out of the moving vehicle and slammed the door behind her.

“f**k this!” Vivian shrieked and smashed the side window with her shoe. “I didn’t sleep my way trough Hollywood to die like this!”

Nadia walked casually after the car as it built up speed and smiled in amusement at the sight of Vivian hanging half way out the window, her jacket whipped in the wind, giving anyone watching clear view of her tits. Not a bad effort, but she really should have made sure the road was clear before trying that… Nadia thought idly, the car was picking up yet more speed and approaching a small copse of trees. Maybe I should warn her… nah. She smiled mischievously.

Vivian wiggled and tried not to think about what would happen when she hit the ground, she hoped the snow would break her fall, but they were moving pretty fast. Suddenly she felt an iron grip on her ankle, she turned to find Alexandra pulling on her leg. “What the hell?!”

“You’re too slow! Let me out first!” Alexandra demanded, panic clear in her voice.

Vivian kicked at the woman with her free leg. “Stop it! Just let me go and-”

The driver side mirror shattered as the car passed only inches from a large tree.

Vivian’s head snapped around at the sound of the mirror breaking off and she let out a short, panicked shriek before her head and upper torso slammed into the tree trunk. Her body bent awkwardly and tumbled out of the car leaving Alexandra staring wide eyed at the now empty window.

Deciding the window was too much of a risk Alexandra dug her fingers into the barrier that separated her from the driver’s seat and pulled with all her might. She screamed as adrenaline surged trough her and finally the barrier gave way, she managed to pull it half way down before it jammed completely. Close enough! She thought and scrambled through the tight gap. With great effort she managed to get her upper body trough the gap before getting stuck, it left her in a rather awkward position with her legs dangling on one side and her tits hanging out on the other, but it would have to do. She grasped the parking break and pulled as hard as she could. Time seemed to slow as the car skidded down the icy terrain, the cliff coming ever closer… closer… The car groaned beneath her as it came to a stop balancing precariously on the edge.

Alexandra’s hysterical laughter filled the air as Nadia approached the car and peeked inside. The woman was stuck halfway between the front and back seat, clutching the parking break for dear life. Her laughter died as she met Nadia’s eyes.

“Wh-what are you going to do to me?” Alexandra asked carefully.

“I just want you to answer a simple question.”

Alexandra looked at her expectantly.

“Do you still think I’m not scary enough?”

Alexandra shook her head franticly.

“Damn straight.” Nadia said and gave the car a gentle push.

“Wait! No! Please, I’m sooooooooory!” Alexandra shrieked as the car tipped over the edge and plunged into the valley bellow.

Nadia grabbed nearby branch, leaned out and looked down with a satisfied smile as the car exploded on impact. Retrieving her jacket might turn out to be a challenge, Nadia thought sourly.

She found Vivian’s broken form sprawled at the base of the tree and relived her of her jacket. “I do hate to leave you like this,” she said honestly. “But I have a movie to shoot.”

Nadia Does Hollywood - Part 4

Image

Iselin: Young actress looking for her big break.

Image

Sylvia: Production assistant.

Image

Kaja: The director.

“Alright,” Kaja barked. “Everyone get in position and… wait, where the hell is Lisbeth?”

“Right here, boss,” Sylvia piped up. “She was a bit turned around, but she’s ready now, right?”

Nadia nodded, her face was more or less hidden by the mask, but she wasn’t sure if her Lisbeth impression would hold up if she had to speak. Luckily this scene didn’t require much talking.

“Good,” Kaja said, nodding in satisfaction. “Iselin, ready for your big scene?”

“Yeah,” Iselin called from her place next to the overturned snowmobile, her jacket was already slightly torn and her leg was pinned underneath the snowmobile following the ‘crash’. They’d shot the chase scene the day before, but they’d lost the light and had to postpone the final scene, but now everything was ready. This is it, Iselin thought excitedly. This death scene is my chance to blow everyone away!

“Action!”

Nadia felt slightly awkward as she dashed towards her victim, she wasn’t used to an audience. She’d been planing to pick them off one by one, but the whole situation was just too perfect to pass up. She put the concerns aside and shifted her grip on the knife, this was going to be fun.

“No! You can’t leave me here!” Iselin called in the direction of the 2nd and 3rd sets of snowmobile tracks. “She’ll kill me!”

Good god, Kaja thought, shaking her head. She’s the worst damn actress… good thing she’s pretty and willing to do nudity.

Hearing the killer approach right on cue Iselin twisted around and tried to crawl away only to be stopped by her pinned leg. “Somebody! Help!”

Nadia fought to suppress a mad giggle as she leapt over the snowmobile and landed with her feet on either side of the oblivious actress. She raised the knife high and plunged down towards the center of Iselin’s back.

Kaja cringed at the sound of Iselin’s poor excuse for a scream. “We’ll can fix it in post,” she whispered to Elin. “I hope…”

The knife slammed into Iselin’s back and in an instant her acting improved dramatically. She cried out in pain, sounding just as surprised as the onlookers. As the knife left her back she twisted to face her attacker with tears in her eyes, she shook her head desperately as the knife descended once more and slid into her belly.

“Is it just me or does she suddenly suck less?” Elin whispered.

“Maybe laying on her back screaming comes naturally…” Kaja said dryly.

“Now you’re just being mean,” Elin hissed.

“Noooo!” Iselin sobbed as the knife pierced her left breast. “Please!” She turned to Kaja for help, but all she got was a thumbs up and an encouraging smile.

Nadia lost herself in the moment, driving the knife home again and again with savage glee. Blood splattered across killer and victim alike as Iselin died beneath her.

“Uh… boss?” Sylvia said quietly. “I thought we were doing CGI blood in this one.”

“Yeah,” Kaja said distractedly, eyes locked on the action. “So?”

“So… why are we using squibs for this scene?”

“I…” Kaja hesitated. “Aw sh*t… Cut!”

Iselin was barely clinging to life, her head lulled back and forth with each stab, blood leaked from her pouty lips. But even so Nadia wasn’t done, she stabbed the girl again and again with maniacal intensity, so engrossed was she that everything around her faded away. She didn’t even hear Kaja’s angry shouts until the director seized her knife hand mid stab.

“I said,” Kaja growled. “Cut!”

Nadia smiled wildly, her eyes sparkled in her blood spattered face. “As you wish.”

Kaja inhaled sharply and stepped back, but Nadia moved too fast, the bloody knife cut a wide arc through the air… and through Kaja’s throat. The director stumbled away, hands clutching at the wound, her eyes wide in shock.

Giving Iselin one final thrust through the heart Nadia stood, pulled down her mask, looked past Kaja as she squirmed on the ground and locked eyes with Elin. “Miss me?”

“Oh, f**k me!” Elin blurted. “Run!”

Nadia cackled in delight as the cast and crew took off in different directions, the hunt was on.

Nadia Does Hollywood - Part 5

Lone: Actress playing a minor part in the movie.

Lone’s heart threatened to beat a hole in her ribs as she lay hidden under one of the trailers, she’d seen some of the others run off towards the parking lot, no doubt hoping to escape. But the killer would know that, so she’ll go after them and I’ll be safe right here… Probably.

Some time later she was startled by a deafening sound from the direction of the parking lot. The hell? Was that an explosion? She thought, alarmed. Well, whatever it was, it confirms my theory. If Nadia is down there I should be safe enough up here.

***

Rebecca: The stunt coordinator.

Charlotte: The ‘final girl’ in the movie.

“Where the hell is Alexandra’s car?” Rebecca asked as she, Elin and Charlotte reached the parking lot. “Don’t tell me that bitch left without us!”

“Can we use the van?” Charlotte panted, already out of breath.

Elin shook her head sadly. “We don’t have the keys,” she turned to look back towards the camp and the house beyond it. “We’d have to go back…”

“Screw that,” Rebecca snarled. “I think we left the keys in one of the snowmobiles, let me check.”

Elin and Charlotte shared a silent look, there was only room for two of them on the snowmobile.

“Got em!” Rebecca beamed as she turned the key. “Who’s coming with me?”

“I guess we’ll draw straws?” Charlotte suggested.

Elin nodded and opened her mouth to respond, but all the wind was knocked from her lungs as the snowmobile—and Rebecca—disappeared in a massive explosion.

Ears ringing Elin shook her head and climbed to her feet, Rebecca was quite simply gone. If it wasn’t for the smoldering fragments of her jacket falling from the sky there would be no trace left of the woman. “Holy sh*t…”

“So what now?” Charlotte mumbled. “Do we look for the keys to the van?”

Elin shot her an incredulous look. “Do you want to try starting the van? Cause I sure as hell don’t.”

“Right… I guess we’re walking…” Charlotte sighed. “Super.”

Nadia sat on the roof of the trailer flipping through a copy of the scrip—her butt nice and warm seated on the bloody jackets she’d taken off Kaja and Iselin’s bodies—and looked over her shoulder at the sound of the blast. She smiled to herself at the thought of the look on their faces, assuming anyone survived. She’d have liked to see it first hand, but she couldn’t be everywhere at once and she had a feeling the wait was almost over. There we go! She thought happily as Lone began to crawl out from her hiding spot below the trailer. She grabbed the pitchfork she’d brought with her from the prop tent and jumped.

Lone had almost cleared the trailer and was about to stand up when a pair of booted feet hit the snow in front of her, their sudden appearance was bad enough, but they were followed almost immediately by a stabbing pain in her back.

Nadia punched the air in celebration as the prongs of the pitchfork pierced Lone’s jacket along with Lone herself. “Bullseye!”

Lone released a choking gasp.

“I know, right?” Nadia said brightly. “I was so worried I’d miss after waiting for so long, but I totally nailed you.”

“W-why?” Lone sobbed as she tried to crawl away despite being pinned to the ground.

Nadia shrugged and dropped a copy of the script in front of her. “Don’t blame me, it says right there ‘impaled by pitchfork’.” She said nonchalantly. “Which is total bulls**t by the way, I never killed anyone with a pitchfork… I did use a harpoon though, that was fun.”

Lone didn’t respond.

“Hey,” Nadia said, pulling her head up by her hair. “Are you ignoring me, or… oh… you’re dead.”

Lone’s unseeing eyes stared at nothing.

“Fine, be that way.” Nadia said, releasing her grip and grabbing the pitchfork to pull it free. Lone’s jacket was still more or less intact, aside from the small holes left by the pitchfork, and Nadia added it to her growing collection. I should have brought a backpack…

Nadia Does Hollywood - Part 6

Lin (Left) & Unni (Right): The camera crew.

Sylvia: Production assistant.

“Let’s hide in the house!” Sylvia suggested.

“You want to hide in the old, spooky farm house?” Lin said. “The farm house that was the site of not one, but two massacres in the space of a few months?”

“Got a better idea?” Unni said.

Lin sighed. “No… but let’s stop by the prop tent first, there must be something there that can be used as a weapon.”

***

“This should work,” Lin said, straining to lift a large broadsword. “It’s surprisingly sharp.”

“And practical,” Sylvia said sarcastically as she examined a 9mm handgun. “Can you even swing that without falling over?”

“At least this real,” Lin snapped.

“The gun is real enough,” Sylvia said defensively. “If only the bullet’s weren’t blanks…”

We’re doomed, Unni concluded with a sigh.

***

The house was dark and drafty, the floorboards creaked ominously beneath their feet. They made their way upstairs and decided to hide in the master bedroom.

“Alright, you two take up flanking positions by the door,” Unni said. “If she shows up let her have it.”

“And what will you be doing?” Sylvia demanded.

Unni threw herself into the large bed and fished a joint out of her pocket. “I’m supervising.”

“Great idea, Unni, go ahead and light it.” Lin said. “Weed smoke makes for excellent concealment.”

“It kinda feels like you’re being sarcastic…” Unni said uncertainly.

Lin rolled her eyes and snatched the joint from her friend. “Just sit there and try not to get us killed, would you?”

“Quiet!” Sylvia hissed. “Do you hear something?”

The bickering girls quieted and they waited in silence, a silence only broken by the creaking of the floorboards down the hall. Lin and Sylvia pressed themselves against the wall and waited, weapons at the ready.

Jane: The makeup artist.

Where the hell did they go? Jane thought, her eyes darted around the hall, every shadow seemed to hide a killer. I was sure they came this way. Checking each room in turn she finally reached the master bedroom and peeked inside, it seemed empty at first glance, but as she stepped inside she sensed movement on her right.

Seeing the blonde head peek into the room Sylvia drew her gun and assumed her best poker face, the bullets were fake, but Nadia couldn’t know that. “Freeze, bitch!” she snarled.

Jane nearly jumped out of her boots in shock and shrieked at the sight of the gun. “Wait! It’s me!”

Sylvia’s eyes widened in recognition. “Oh, sh*t… Lin, no! It’s not Nadia!”

But Lin was already swinging the heavy blade, even if she’d recognized Jane in time she wouldn’t have been able to stop the sword’s momentum.

“Wha-?” Jane’s question died on her lips as the massive blade sliced effortlessly through her neck. She stood perfectly still for an instant, eyes wide and mouth gaping, then she collapsed in a heap. Her head rolled across the floor.

The sword fell from Lin’s grip. “No… no, no, no, no…”

Unni peaked out from behind the bed. “Did we get her? Wait… isn’t that…? Aw, crap.”

“Lin,” Sylvia said gently. “You couldn’t have known…”

Lin didn’t respond, she simply shook her head and walked into the adjoining bathroom and shut the door behind her.

The two remaining girls looked at each other. “Time for that joint?” Unni asked.

“Yeah… f**k it.”

***

“You know what we need?” Unni said lazily. They were both laying on the bed, staring up at the ceiling and passing the joint back and forth.

“Snacks?”

“Snacks!” Unni confirmed. “Not it!”

“Not…” Sylvia sighed in defeat. “Damnit, too slow.”

***

Discarding the useless gun Sylvia hefted Lin’s surprisingly effective sword and set out to search for something, anything edible. She found the kitchen, but to her disappointment the fridge was empty. I guess that makes sense, it’s been abandoned for a year…

The pantry proved more accommodating, holding a large assortment of canned goods as well as several bags of pretzels on the top shelf. Score!

Setting the sword aside Sylvia climbed the shelves to reach her prize, she wobbled slightly, but made it safely down to the floor. She turned to grab her sword, but it seemed to have disappeared. Odd, I could have sworn I put it right here… She walked back out into the kitchen and looked around in confusion.

Nadia shook her head, it was almost too easy. She’d considered simply stabbing Sylvia in the back, but the screams would have tipped off the others. Crouching behind the kitchen counter she twisted Lone’s jacket into a rope and stood as Sylvia turned her back. She reached over, loped it around the oblivious girl’s neck and pulled her back against the counter.

Sylvia was caught completely off guard, stumbling back in a panic as her hazy mind tried to make sense of what was happening. The bags of pretzels fell to the floor as she grabbed at the makeshift rope that was cutting off her air. She kicked wildly and trashed around on the counter, but there was no escape. She desperately grabbed for a nearby steak knife, but Nadia anticipated the move and pulled her along the counter top by her neck.

As the fight began to go out of her victim Nadia leaned over her and looked down into her wide eyes. “You know, I was worried about revealing myself so early, thinking you all might make organize and gang up on me or something…” she shook her head. “I mean really, when has splitting up ever been the right move in a situation like this?”

Sylvia’s mouth worked uselessly, trying to breathe or speak, it was impossible to tell. A thin line of drool formed at the corner of her mouth and she began to twitch randomly, her legs kicking weakly. Then she was still.

Nadia took her time, savoring the moment as she removed Sylvia’s pristine jacket. It’s nice to have one without holes in it for once…

Unni felt foolish as she crawled under the bed. Sure, Sylvia was a bit late, but that was no reason to panic… She knew that logically, but paranoia didn’t often listen to reason. She swallowed nervously as the footsteps in the hall grew closer. It’s probably just Sylvia… right? A pair of black snow boots stopped at the foot of the bed. What was Sylvia wearing again?

Nadia smiled mischievously and dropped a bag of pretzels.

“Sylvia! So it is you,” Unni said from under the bed. “Thank god!”

Suppressing a dark chuckled Nadia reversed her grip on the sword and plunged it down trough the bed. She was partially guessing at Unni’s exact location, but it payed off as she was rewarded with a surprised yelp of pain. Bending down she found a very surprised Unni looking back at her, her eyes were wide and her lips speckled with blood. The sword had hit her upper torso and exited right above her left nipple.

Unni gave a wet cough and gurgled weakly. “H-help… m-me…”

Nadia smiled. “If you tell me where Lin ran off to I promise I won’t kill you,” she said. “How’s that?”

“B-bathroom…” Unni choked out. “P-promise?”

“Yup.”

Lin sat naked in the bathtub with a straight razor in her right hand, her tear streaked eyes were locked on her left wrist. “I didn’t mean to…” she mumbled. “She wasn’t supposed to be there!”

“Oh come one, put that away. Suicide isn’t the answer.”

Lin shook her head. “No! I killed Jane,” she sobbed. “She’s dead because of me! I deserve to die.”

“Yeah, but does that give you the right to ruin my fun? You already robbed me of Jane after all.”

“What are you-?” Lin’s eyes widened as she looked at Nadia. “You!”

“Me!” Nadia confirmed and tossed a hairdryer into the tub.

The light’s flashed and Lin convulsed violently, her full breasts jiggling and her eyes rolling back in her head. Water splashed across the floor as the naked girl’s limbs flailed uncontrollably. Nadia enjoyed the show for a full minute before the ancient circuit breakers finally realized something was wrong and cut the power. Lin went limp and sank slowly into the water, her milky eyes staring sightlessly.

“See? Wasn’t that better?” Nadia said happily. “You’re dead, I got to kill you, everybody wins!”

“H-help…” Unni sobbed as Nadia returned to the bedroom with her trophy. “You promised.”

“I promised not to kill you,” Nadia confirmed. “I never said I’d help you… and honestly, I doubt I could save you if I wanted to at this point. In case you didn’t notice there is a sword in your chest.”

“Y-you can’t just stand there and watch…”

Nadia shrugged. “Fine,” she said and jumped onto the bed causing the sword to shift slightly. “I’ll take a nap while we wait.”

It wasn’t long before Nadia could claim her trophy from Unni. As she turned to leave she noticed the discarded 9mm on the floor. Now, this might come in handy!

Nadia Does Hollywood - Part 7

Elin: The sole survivor of Nadia’s 2nd rampage.

Charlotte: The star of the now extremely canceled movie.

Elin and Charlotte risked a quick search of the camp to gather supplies before setting off into the woods. They saw no sign of Nadia herself, but the trail of bodies leading towards the house left little doubt that she’d been there. They scrounged up some makeshift weapons—a large kitchen knife and a screwdriver—as well as some food and drink. With no other options available that they could see they sett out into the woods.

They trudged trough the knee high snow for what seemed like hours, but the forest seemed unending. “What if she finds our trail?” Charlotte asked suddenly.

“She probably will,” Elin said, her tone grim. “But we have a decent head start, there is no way she’ll catch up on foot.”

“Right, and the snowmobiles are all boobie trapped,” Charlotte said with relief. “So it’s not like she could-”

“Disable her own traps and follow us on a snowmobile…” Elin said, her face turning pale. “sh*t!”

“What do we do?”

Elin looked down at the knife in her hand. “Ever hear that joke about the trick to outrunning a bear?”

“You can’t out run a bear!” Charlotte scoffed.

“No,” Elin agreed. “But you don’t need to, you just have to out run the person next to you.”

“I don’t get it.”

Nadia: Homicidal maniac with a thing for jackets.

Nadia was silently impressed with how far the two had made it on foot, she’d almost started to worry they’d get away, but finally she spotted her prey. Or one of them at least. Charlotte was sitting against a tree clutching her leg, her face showed a mix of fear and pain. She dismounted and approached slowly, wary of a trap, but judging by the tracks leading off into the gloomy forest Elin was long gone. “If it makes you feel any better,” Nadia said with a chuckle. “This isn’t the worst thing Elin has done to save herself. Just ask Karen.”

“Wait, what?” Charlotte asked nervously. “What do you mean?”

Savoring the moment Nadia stopped in front of the wounded girl and smiled as she considered her options. That branch above her might work for a hanging… “Hm? Oh, Karen, right… Elin stabbed her to death to save her own ass.”

Charlotte gasped and glanced to the side, then quickly caught herself and fixed her eyes on the ground between them.

Suddenly suspicious Nadia followed Charlotte’s glance and found Elin sneaking up on her from behind. She spun around and drew her 9mm handgun.

“Uh… Hi?” Elin said awkwardly as she froze with her knife raised high.

“Nice try,” Nadia conceded, stepping out of Elin’s reach. “So, you stab Charlotte and keep walking, then double back and wait for me to take the bait?”

“Something like that,” Elin sighed. “I don’t suppose I can talk you out of shooting me this time…”

“Nope,” Nadia said. “Not taking chances with you, I’ll save the fun stuff for Charlotte, since you were nice enough to incapacitate her for me.”

“Yeah, about that…” Elin said, licking her lips nervously. “You realize she’s an actress, right?

Nadia quirked an eyebrow. “Yeah, so?”

A very much unharmed Charlotte tightened her grip on her screwdriver and plunged it into Nadia’s side with all her adrenaline fueled strength. The killer screamed as the tool tore into her midsection and spun, eyes flaring with anger. Startled by her own actions Charlotte released her grip on her makeshift weapon and took a step back.

Nadia lunged at Charlotte, grabbing her by the throat with one hand and pressing the gun against her belly with the other. “That,” she growled. “Hurt like hell.”

“Elin! Help!” Charlotte croaked, but it was too late. Nadia pulled the trigger twice and followed up with a headbutt for good measure. She dropped like a sack of flour.

“Well,” Nadia said, her voice dangerously low as she turned the gun on Elin. “I guess I’ll have to have my fun with you after all.”

“Wait,” Elin pleaded. “At least tell me one thing first.”

Nadia chuckled. “Another interview? I hate to break it to you, but you won’t be writing any more books.”

Elin swallowed nervously and tried to compose herself. “How did you get out?”

“Good behavior.”

Despite herself Elin rolled her eyes. “Seriously, Nadia.”

“What? I was rehabilitated,” she said, her expression full of innocence. “I didn’t kill anyone for like 10 months.”

“But you were in jail for 11 months…”

“Yeah,” Nadia said with an apologetic shrug. “They tried to give me a cellmate… not a wise choice on their part.”

“But why come here? Why kill all these people?”

“That’s two questions,” Nadia teased. “But alright… I heard you were making a movie and I figured I’d help make it as authentic as possible.”

Charlotte opened her eyes, her head was pounding, but otherwise she felt… fine? She shot me… Why am I still alive? Moving slowly to avoid Nadia’s attention she placed her hand on her belly, her jacket was damage, but not from a bullet hole. Burned? Why would it be… Blanks, the gun is loaded with blanks!

“Well, it’s been fun, but I really should get this wound looked at, so… Time to die!” Nadia said, putting an end to the impromptu interview. “If you’d be so kind as to fetch the rope from the snowmobile and get started on the noose we can-”

Elin’s eyes went wide at the sight of Charlotte getting to her feet as if nothing had happened. “How?”

Nadia whipped around in surprise. “What the hell?” she said. “You’re tougher than you look.”

Charlotte stood her ground with a confident smirk as the gun was pointed at her chest. “Go ahead, make my day.” Always wanted to say that!

Elin flinched as the gun went off and Charlotte… didn’t react. Nadia looked as confused as she was and fired twice more.

“I’m going to need this back,” Charlotte said as she grasped the handle of the screwdriver and pulled it out of Nadia.

Nadia screamed and staggered away. “Wait, this isn’t how it’s supposed to-”

Finally overcoming her shock Elin put the pieces together and drove her knife into Nadia’s back, the killer grunted and looked down with a mix of fascination and horror as the tip of the knife emerged from below her right breast.

“Now, hold on just a minute…” Nadia said placatingly. “I guess I deserved that, but-”

A wordless cry left Charlotte’s lips as she plunged the screwdriver into Nadia’s belly. Nadia released a gasping moan and staggered slowly away from her would-be victims.

Elin chuckled darkly as Nadia picked up speed until she managed something close to a run. “Where do you think your going?” she taunted. “If you give up now we’ll make it quick!”

Charlotte gave her a questioning glance. “We can’t just kill her if she’s no longer a threat, can we? We’d end up in jail or something.”

“I doubt anyone would fault us for her finishing her off,” Elin said evenly. “Besides, there won’t be any witnesses out here.”

Well, Nadia thought as she staggered out from the trees and found herself looking down from the top of a ridiculously tall cliff. This could have gone better… Maybe if I double back and try to… A branch snapped behind her. “You’re right behind me, aren’t you?”

“Yup,” Elin said, her voice dripping with satisfaction. “End of the road, Nadia.”

“No, this isn’t over!” Nadia said, turning and ripping the screwdriver from her belly with a snarl. A wave of pain washed over her and brought her to her knees. “Ow…”

“Not exactly the grand final stand I was expecting…” Charlotte said softly.

“Yeah,” Nadia agreed weakly as she let the screwdriver fall. “That went better in my head.”

“On the bright side,” Elin said. “You’ve given me excellent material for my next book.”

Nadia licked her lips nervously as Elin approached. “Alright, since I’m feeling merciful I’ve decided to let you live, run along now before I change my-”

Elin grabbed her hair, pulled her head back and jabbed the knife into her throat. “Please, just shut up!”

Nadia’s eyes widened and blood leaked from her lips, splashing down the front of her jacket. She shook her head slowly as if to deny what was happening. A panicked gurgle escaped her lips.

“This is for our friends, bitch!” Charlotte snarled and kicked the dying woman in the chest.

With her final ounce of strength Nadia grabbed Charlotte’s leg and let herself fall back over the edge of the cliff, pulling the screaming actress down with her.

Charlotte flailed wildly and grabbed the edge of the cliff, her legs fought for purchase, but the rock was smooth and unbroken. “Elin! Pull me up!”

Elin raced to the edge and stopped with a thoughtful expression on her face.

“Elin?”

“I really wish Nadia hadn’t told you about Karen…” Elin said softly. “I didn’t want to do it, but…”

“This really isn’t the time!” Charlotte shrieked. “I’m slipping!”

“I’m sorry,” Elin said and stepped on Charlotte’s fingers. She fell screaming into the darkness below.

On her way back to the snowmobile Elin worked on her story, it wouldn’t be hard to blame Charlotte’s fate on Nadia. It really was regrettable, but on the other hand it would make for a better story, she had a feeling her next book was going to do very well indeed.

Nadia Does Hollywood - Epilogue

After a few days of questioning and a quick checkup at the hospital Elin walked into her apartment and sighed in relief, it was finally over. She’d already written down the broad strokes of what happened while it was fresh in her memory and she couldn’t wait to get started on her new book. But even so she desperately needed some proper rest. She kicked off her shoes and threw herself onto her bed.

She still felt a bit bad about Charlotte, but the money from the book would help her feel better and there was already talk of another movie, apparently it was going to be quite meta.

“Boo!” Nadia’s disembodied voice said.

Elin’s eyes popped open. No… it’s just my mind playing tricks, this can’t be happening.

“You didn’t really think you’d get rid of me that easily, did you.”

“H-how? I saw you die!”

“Don’t you worry about the details,” Nadia commanded. “I have a clear view through the window, one wrong move and I put a high caliber sniper round through your face.”

Elin’s mind raced, this was impossible! How could she still be alive. “What do you-”

“Put on your jacket and lay down on the bed.” Nadia interrupted.

“But… I’m already wearing my jacket…” Maybe she can’t see me after all? Is she bluffing?

“Do it! Now!”

Something was off Elin realized. Nadia’s commands were getting increasingly nonsensical. Almost as if… Elin barked a harsh laugh. It’s a recording!

Elin sighed in relief and started to roll out of bed, Nadia must have hidden a device under the bed with a pressure sensor, she’d activated it when she jumped into bed. Her relief turned to dread as a two foot metal spike shot up trough the mattress only inches away from her. “The f**k?!”

She rolled away from the spike, towards the other side of the bed, but another spike greeted her. She pushed herself onto all fours, intending to stand up and make herself as small a target as possible, but before she had the chance a third spike emerged from the mattress and impaled her trough the belly. The cold metal burned in her belly and Elin cried out, her arms began to shake from the strain, but she slowly pushed herself up. Only a few more inches and I’ll be free!

The fourth spike pierced her right hand and she collapsed onto the bed, sliding slowly down along the third spike.

“I sure hope I didn’t just miss,” Nadia said conversationally. “After all, if you made it home alive I probably didn’t, so I won’t get another shot at you. But what are the odds that you dodged all five?”

“Shut up!” Elin shrieked.

“Of course, there is always the chance that I just impaled whoever took over the apartment after you died…”

Elin whimpered softly as her blood soaked through her pink jacket and stained her sheets, she lay her head down on her pillow and tried to stay as still as possible to keep from making things worse. The spikes partially blocked the wounds, slowing the bleeding, so if she could just hold out until… Wait… Did she say five spikes?!

The fifth spike shot up, impaling Elin trough the side of her head. She twitched weakly and her eyes blinked rapidly and out of sync for a moment before a soft sigh escaped her parted lips.

The End!
