"What She Should Have Done " by GrouchoM

( Author's Note ) In an actual Wonder Woman story appearing in Sensation Comics #26 authored by her creator, Dr. William Marston, Queen Hippolyte gets some advance knowledge that her daughter, Wonder Woman, will be walking into a trap and be exploited by a crook. So, does she call her daughter and tip her off?
No, she flies to the US, dresses up as her daughter (they looked alike back then), jumps her, binds her with the magic lasso and orders her to avoid the situation. Now since anytime her mom told her "no", Diana took it as "get sneaky", Diana found a loophole around the order, confronted the crook and naturally got captured. AND she got her mom captured, too. Fortunately, some daring heroics on her part got them out of the mess.
Well, I decided to redo the scene, showing us what Hippolyte SHOULD have done to make sure her headstrong daughter obeyed her. A little extreme? Maybe. But it would have avoided a big problem later on.
And it would have been a huge surprise had Steve Trevor happened along.
