One of the stranger things about Diabolik's popularity is that in Italy he and Eva Kant, even though they have murdered countless people and commit crimes without number in their question for "bling," have been used as "spokesdrawings" in public service ads against domestic brutality, cruelty to animals, etc.

Certainly arch-criminals should always drive safely and under the speed limit, lest violation of local traffic laws attract the attention of the authorities.
