In this episode from a 1980s cartoon, a female villain disguises herself as a detective named Samantha Spade. She leaves the real Ms. Spade bound and gagged in her office closet.

I actually mentioned this scene in the "Scene Database" on the old USB forum.
The villainess id Madam O, one of Dr. Scarab's top henchmen.
Scarab's henchmen would often impersonate various people by using holograms.
Out of all the 80's cartoon villainesses, Madame O's look & costume design are one of my favorites.
I was a huge Bionic Six fan back in the 80's.
I would love to commission an artist to do a story where Madame O actually wears the clothes of the woman she impersonates.
Of course there would be an aftermath of the "real" woman bound, gagged and struggling in her underwear.
That would be a pretty cool story.
