Medical Considerations

Side effects: Hallucinations(Auditory and Visual) Over Stimulation of Pleasure Centres,
Susceptibility to Suggestion, Loss of Inhibitions and excessive Giggling, psychosexual responses

Another creation of SOG 6's resident chemist Senior Operative Nadja 'Vesper' Gadot, Veritas was created to give SI Operatives the chance to interrogate lone sentries without invasive physical coercion and as a means of acquiring enemy uniforms. Created just prior to the recent successful Ukrainian campaign by Gadot using a combination of escopolamine and LSD, the drug was used to great effect by both SOG 6 and 1st Squad 3rd IRT in several Operations including Rough Tide, Snatch and Grab, and the now famous Peacemaker.


Veritas as two main effects on a subject. Firstly, it compels the subject to tell the truth so any information provided by a subject under the influence of Veritas can be countered on to be 100% accurate. Secondly, the LSD element induces a state of bliss and euphoria in the subject, making them docile and highly susceptible to suggestion, causing fits of giggling in the subject as they react to visual or auditory hallucinations. They can be compelled to strip off their uniforms, or even allow themselves to be stripped, or rendered unconscious, offering no form of resistance whatsoever. Whether or not this can be described as true mind control, requires more field testing to make an accurate determination. Operatives have also noted an increase in the psychosexual response in the subject, causing intense feelings of arousal and a desire to have sex with the attending agents.


Due to the experimental nature of Veritas and the risk of potential addiction, it's use on civilian subjects as been prohibited. Doing so will be a breach of the Marrakech Proclamations. It's use is restricted to military subjects only. Currently, Gadot is working on a gaseous form to be used in gas grenades much like her patented Morpheus Gas. Potentially allowing entire groups of subjects to rendered docile and susceptible to suggestion.


(Medical Advisory: There have been reports of Junior Operatives using the Serum as a drug. All ranking Operatives are reminded, to secure the Veritas and restrict excess to the Serum for agents of Operative and above. Any Operative caught misusing the Serum are subject to immediate dismissal)

So first off, interesting that the women hallucinate. We of course learned the women become very susceptible to being controlled. However, interesting that they hallucinate. So when the SI agent is standing there speaking to them, what are they actually seeing and hearing?

I do like "Operatives have also noted an increase in the psychosexual response in the subject, causing intense feelings of arousal and a desire to have sex with the attending agents." So indeed, the women are in a highly turned on state while under the influence of the drug.

Also, interesting that they have barred its use on civilians but nonetheless still are willing to use it on the sentries. Guess the poor women are kind of Guinea Pigs. Hopefully there have been no adverse reactions.

And wow, a gas version, that could be fantastic.

When the women are hallucinating, they believe the SI agents interrogating them to be fellow soldiers, but I would expect they would see hallucinations like in the movie Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, which explains the giggling, as well as butterflies. They would be hearing sounds of children laughing but the agent interrogating them would sound commanding deep, like God to them.


As endorphins control pleasure and the sexual drive, the over stimulation results in the psychosexual response, leaving the subjects highly aroused. Meaning that if the agent desired, she could get the information required through either conventional interrogation or through sexual Stimulation and contact.


I added the last paragraph as an interim addendum, that may be subject to change. As Veritas is both experimental and highly controversial, the SI do require more field data before they make an accurate determination. So in essence, the Russian soldiers that Veritas was used on were guinea pigs, and the SI will be monitoring their communications to watch for potential side effects. Before the final decision will be made whether to use it upon civilians, or not.

A gas variant would allow SI operatives to incapacitate an entire group of marks, one could be interrogated while the others compelled to strip themselves, each other or stripped themselves by Operatives in the field.

They didn't want to kill the women but they were willing to use the experimental drug on them not knowing if there might be side effects. I like the idea that they will use their intelligence gathering to see if any side effects are noted. The sentries will remain test subjects.

Hi Stormtrooper. Was just wondering if the SI operatives working undercover have been able to get any data to pass on to Nadja about the effects of the Veritas Serum on the sentries it was used on.

I can confirm that Nadja as recieved a lot of data from the undercover SI operatives in the field about Veritas Serum. The data collected is promising and Nadja is currently sifting through the data.

The Undercover operatives have reported that Veritas Serum, as an 40% of addiction and its effects persist for anywhere between 6 to 12 hours after initial exposure. With the subjects still exhibiting loosened inhibitions and the desire to tell the truth. They also report the subjects suffer from short term memory loss, once the effects have worn off and other side effects including insomnia, dry mouth and headaches. The undercover operatives have been ordered to continue their monitoring and report back once data from each test subject as been collated.


Nadja, with the assistance of SI Medical, R & D and Infiltration Regiments, has already begun to to refine the Serum to lessen the impact these side effects have on the subjects.


She should see some results in the next few months.

So that is some interesting data. So when the women regain consciousness from whatever was done to knock them out they will still be a bit under the effects of the Veritas Serum. Not only will they have a desire to tell the truth but, I assume, since they will still have "loosened inhibitions" will be in a bit of an aroused state.

Sorry to hear the woman it has been use on to date will have some lingering effects.

Glad to see that they are working to lessen the side effects so they can start using Veritas on non-enemy women.
