Anabel's Investigation - Part 2/4
'Infiltration'
Anabel arrived at the glistening headquarters of the Aether Foundation, head hardened with one clear goal in mind; infiltrating Aether Foundation.
Whilst the lobby was very much open to the general public, the inner quarters was less so. Amongst the hustle and bustle of the crowds making their throughout the large building, it would be seemingly difficult to inconspicuously enter without someone noticing. In order to find a way in, Anabel would need to exercise some tactical espionage.
Anabel scanned her surroundings, there was a main entrance with a front desk manned by two admin staff... entrance through there wouldn't be possible, they would certainly ask for an ID check before allowing anyone inside. Another entrance was via the main floor elevators... but that too would require an access swipe and it would be too hard and obvious if she were to tailgate there. But in a quiet corner near the back of the building lay a separate entrance seemingly as an emergency exit for staff, positioned away from the prying eyes of the public... this will be the spot.
Anabel stood around the corner from the emergency exit, observing her surroundings and noting that very few staff members made their way through this area and even less of the general public loitered around this area. This back area was also free from the dozens of security cameras that constantly scanned the Aether Foundation lobby. Quickly noticing an Aether Foundation Employee exiting from the gate and seemingly heading towards the afforementioned main staff entrance, Anabel instantly prepared a plan and was ready to enact it immediately.
With a swift removal of her shoe the moment the Aether Foundation Employee walked past, she grabbed the Employee from behind and quickly covered their mouth and nose with her shoe. Unlike her feet, which she'll clean each night when showering after getting home from work, the scent of Anabel's shoes were on a complete other level. The years of scent build-up in an International Police officer's shoe from all the countless days walking and patrolling created a very strong pheromone within Anabel's shoe that was able to charm whomsoever even caught a bare with... or with the right dosage, to knock them out entirely.
Anabel pressed the shoe firmly over the Employee's face, the Employee initially struggling against her but slowly relenting as she succumbed to Anabel's pheromones, the colour draining from the Employee's face as her anguished face was immediately replaced with a seemingly elated smile. As the willpower left the Employee's body, she fell limply on the floor with a look of enamourment and joy on her face, Anabel could only look back in disgust at how depraved humanity could be in some circumstances. Nonetheless, Anabel had subdued an employee without anyone catching on, as she dragged the now unconcious employee behind a pillar.
Quickly replacing her own clothes with that of the employees, she made her way through the staff entrance. The imposing gates opened before her with a quick beep that detected the earlier Aether Foundation Employee's ID chip within the clothing. The scanners failing to detect any irregularities which for Anabel was an indicator of success.
Anabel had successfully infiltrated Aether Foundation.
