buddy, Al Rio took his own life some years ago

he has been one of the best pencillers ever , his pictures and drawings exude sensuality, joy and liveliness.
All the girls in his pages are eye candies

I can't forget his contribution to Gen 13 and other Image comics

I've been a fan of Rio's since the mid 90's. His style is wonderful.
I just wasn't aware he died.
I know Stormwatch's Scott Clark died years back & Fathom's Michael Turner did too.
I totally agree that Rio's early work for Image was outstanding and his most memorable.

I adore Al Rio, his drawing style is the closest to the drawing style of J. Scott Campbell, but even more "sexy"

among many other features, Al Rio was "one of us"; he illustrated a well known clothes stealing scene ( Gen13 #25)








apparently Al Rio committed suicide by hanging himself, back in 2012
