Christmas songs that really aren't Christmas songs!

The Power of Love - Frankie goes to Hollywood.
Most telling factor is the song makes absolute zero Christmas references. Released in November 1984. A few weeks later the record producer thought it would be a good idea to make a biblical themed music video that might bump up sales the following month.
Now the song is only typically ever played on UK radio around Xmas.

Stay Another Day - East 17.
Another one with zero Christmas references aside from some bells shoved in at the songs closing moments. This one is more depressing as it was actually written about the brother of one of the band members who committed suicide. Had read before that some of the words in the lyrics were changed at the 11th hour to make it more of a typical love song ...but can not find that article anymore.

Stop the Cavalry - Jona Lewie
Well at least it actually mentions Christmas. But really it was an anti-war protest song, somewhat critical of Churchill and also in response to growing tensions of the cold war. But add a tubular bell to it and that's more than enough to forever engrain this track as a Christmas song! Marketing efficiency!!!

Fairytale of New York, literally only mentions Christmas in the chorus and that was even about the choir at that
