Microsoft want to RECORD you! (RECALL Program)

With the introduction of Windows Copilot, it was also announced the software would eventually have a feature known as "Recall".
Basically your PC will automatically take SNAPSHOTS of whatever is on your screen every 5 minutes or so and store the images somewhere.
Obviously knowing that Microsoft love and care about us, it's all done in totally good faith and is for our benefit!!!! Remember a cool site you saw a few days ago and can't remember the link/site name? Thanks to Recall you can now go back in time and search your browsing history images. I mean who would be concerned about potential hackers also getting to see your internet activity history such as inputting card numbers for Amazon orders or something? !!!!
Well naturally this whole thing did not go down well with the public at large, and they pulled back on idea.
But now they have come back with a reworked proposition.

How do you feel about Microsoft's ever growing persistence to want to record your computer activity? Believe them when they say it's now an "opt in" thing only and that nothing will "accidentally" change the setting on it's own?
Food for thought.
