It also explains why the SI don't target older women as subjects because of potential complications, of using electricity as a weapon. Generally women between the ages of 18 and 45 are deemed acceptable, as long as they are mission critical.
Very interesting. So clearly the Glove does cause some degree of harm and could cause bad effects. Therefore, SI only uses it on younger women and only if it is absolutely necessary for the mission.
I hope none of the women SI has used it on have suffered any permanent harm.
Indeed, after all both the heart and the brain are powered by electrical impulses which is why when the women are pinched it's just a merest of touches. Just enough to knock them out and keep their core functions working naturally, while not leaving a lasting impression. Yes, the SI since they are in the public eye using it on random civilians is forbidden, unless of course its absolutely necessary and with good reason. After all, the SI cannot risk one of their own going rogue not after Darkwatch so some degree of oversight is needed.
The shock glove itself recieved extensive testing, both in the labs and on willing volunteers so the SI made sure that the gloves themselves cause no lasting harm. Aside from the bruising left by the pinch and the jolt to the nervous system, which clears up after a few days followed by a little disorientation that also clears up, I'am happy to say that the women who have been in the recieving end of the glove make a full recovery but have little memory of what happened to them.

Interesting. So the glove is so powerful that even after the women its used on regain consciousness it still takes a few days to recover.

Yep, a victim would be sent to the hospital where she would inevitably wake up after the 10 hours unconsciousness, although this does vary depending on the woman's age and general wellbeing. Then naturally the doctors at the hospital would likely monitor them and keep an eye on their symptoms. Since they can't really be treated per se, they are given time to recover with bed rest and should be out within three or four days.

Love to picture the doctors working for the guard's employer pondering what exactly was done to the woman while she is recovering. I am sure some tests will be run but they may not learn anything. They will of course know that whatever was done to her involved the neck given the bruise.
I wonder, does the Shock Pistol cause the same lingering effects?

Indeed, after all the only thing done to the women was to effectively short circuit their nervous systems. Once they are unconscious, breathing and heart rate return to normal and the brain is asleep. The only thing the doctors will have to go on is the bruising on the neck which is the point of contact, and what completed the circuit.
Yes, both shock weapons run off the same principles of using the woman's nervous system against her so the after effects would be similar in nature and so will the recovery rate. The only difference being the bruising around the impact point where the shock projectile found its mark.

It really is a fascinating weapon. Basically, it causes a massive disruption of the woman's CNS, puts her brain in a sleep state, but allows her heart and breathing to function normally. Quite an amazing piece of technology.

Indeed, if only the technology existed in the real world then it could well end wars or at the very least more responsible policing.
But in the SI's it's gives them the edge to save the day.
