The fact is they are stealing the clothes from another woman for disguise purposes, they would have to view their victims with a certain degree of detachment. If they didn't then they wouldn't be able to their jobs.

I think it is the casual disregard that makes these stories so fun. They have just used a powerful electric shock to knock Gina and Abi out. They have then stripped them completely naked and taken a bit of thier blood to basically become them and they are about to leave them tied up and hidden away.

However, instead of showing sympathy for the girls they just have the lighthearted discussion about Gina's choice in underwear.

I always like to put in a little humour into the stories, it works really well with Vesper and Nightingale as they both have a dark sense of humour and it brings their relationship to life.

Its one of the many reasons they fell for each other, that and their shared love for stealing the clothing from beautiful women.
