Last chunk of a vaguely relevent story
by Charliemouse101
[This is the final part of the story from the other couple of posts, I would
have crammed it all into one post, but I don't know if the messages in here can
handle that many words at once. So anywho, here you go.

As the first light of dawn began to creep across the marshes Case heard the
sound of an engine, it was distant yet approaching. She tapped Bex on the arm
and pointed in the direction that the sound seemed to be coming from. Bex
nodded, as yet unable to hear anything in the heavy headgear of the environment
suit. The two women had moved down the track from where the scavenger team had
stashed their haul for collection in order to find a more suitable ambush site.
They had settled for a point where hedges and other foliage had threatened to
overwhelm the route and there was already a truck shaped hole smashed through
branches. On its ingress the vehicle had clearly had difficulty with the
terrain.
As she heard the truck approach Bex took up her position on the road. She and
Case had carried one of the dead scavengers to the road and laid her in plain
sight across the track. Bex now laid herself next down near to the dead girl, as
if she had a similar fate in the same attack. Meanwhile Case took up position in
the foliage beside the road, with the sun coming up it would be harder to hide
than before and she knew she'd need better cover. She watched along the road,
waiting patiently.
Before too long the truck appeared and Case had to admit she was impressed. It
was a very imposing machine, hard to identify exactly but definitely had
military roots. Some kind of mine-resistant armoured transport kitted up during
the war to deal with nuclear or chemical attacks. The trucks engine sounded
powerful, yet also somewhat sickly. This suggested to Case that the engine was
probably running on some form of improvised fuel source, which explained how
such a big and hungry machine was still up and running. The wartime camouflage
paint was gone, replaced with white, and layers of dirt and mud on top of that.
With a vehicle of this type Case was glad that Bex had remained in her disguise,
because there would be no getting into this vehicle by force, it was a rolling
fortress. A small trailer rolled along behind to provide extra cargo space.
As the driver saw the two scavengers ahead she stopped the vehicle only a few
metres from where Case was hidden. From her hiding place Case could hear two
doors open, then voices, footsteps, doors closing, then she could see two women
advancing on the fallen scavengers.
Unlike the scavengers these two women were dressed in much lighter gear. The
vehicle itself provided protection and the open roads were largely free of
radiation, so the crew could move around much more freely. They wore loose white
plastic coveralls with white boots and gloves, all of it gleaming and new. To
protect them from the toxic air they wore masks with a fully transparent face
plate, with the compact filters on the bottom. The masks provided excellent
peripheral vision, ideal for driving, somewhat superfluous for the crew of a
fifteen ton juggernaut that didn't have to break for anything small than France.
As the crew got nearer to Bex they could hear that she was still breathing and
that the other girl was not, though they could see no obvious signs of damage to
the suits or a struggle.
"Help her up," said the driver to her companion, who complied, crouching down
next to Bex and trying to haul her to her feet.
At that moment Case heard the truck door open again, followed by a shout from
the driver, "Keep that door closed!" there was no reply except the sound of the
door closing. Case frowned, two opponents could be tough but three opponents
were certainly going to be tough. Worst of all if whoever was in the truck saw
her comrades drop she might just seal herself in the truck and drive off to warn
her friends.
Bex had not heard the truck door open for the second time, though she had heard
the driver's rebuke, and so she realised that the original plan of simply
ambushing the vehicle crew in the open was off the table for now.
"What happened here?" asked the driver to Bex, tilting her head up, looking in
her eyes for signs of irritation caused by a suit leak.
"I don't know who they were!" Bex replied, she seemed on the edge of panic.
Tears welled up in her eyes, "I was carrying some boxes and then somebody
grabbed me, I tried to get away but then I couldn't breathe!" she was sobbing
now, "I guess they got the others too, I don't know, maybe they thought I was
dead! When I woke up I thought I'd act like I was dead and wait for you guys,
thank god you came along when you did!"
The driver shrugged and let Bex go, mentally writing her off as hysterical and
of little to no use in piecing together what had happened.
"Get her in the back," the driver told her comrade, "Her too," she indicated the
corpse, "Then we'll check out the drop off site. See what's what. I'll take a
quick look around on foot, see if there are any clues around here."
Bex and the vehicle passenger each rather unceremoniously grabbed a leg of the
dead scavenger and set about dragging her around the back of the vehicle.
Meanwhile the driver headed started looking in the area where she had found Bex
and in the bushes nearby, in full view of whoever was in the cab of the vehicle.
After several minutes she decided she wasn't going to find much of anything, the
ground was too cut up to detect tracks and there was no reason to doubt the
events as described so far. She walked back around the vehicle to her door.
Case knew her window of opportunity was narrow, but seeing no alternative she
made her move. As the driver of the vehicle turned to ascend the steps to the
door of the juggernaut Case moved up behind her. With one black gloved hand she
tilted the girls head back as hard as she could, with her other hand she grabbed
her throat, her fingers like a claw driving into her victims jugular and
carotid, disrupting the flow of blood to her brain. Such was the complete
surprise of her attack and the ferocity of it that the pressure had an effect
even before the girl could react, her legs wobbled, a cry of alarm died in her
throat and within just a few short seconds she had passed out completely. Case
knew that maintaining the grip too long would be fatal, but she wanted the
vehicle crew alive. This posed an immediate problem, though the attack had
rendered the girl unconscious in just a few seconds the effect would last an
almost equally short time.
She worked fast, binding the wrists of her captive behind her back with plastic
disposable cuffs, then flipping her over and taking her mask off. With the mask
removed Case was able to gag the prisoner with a piece of suit patching tape
which before putting the mask back on her. Between the mask and the tape she was
if not inaudible as least incomprehensible. Case dragged the girl away into the
foliage where she was out of sight of the vehicle and lay her down on some soft
grass. As a further precaution she used Bex's belt to cinch the girl's ankles
together.
At the rear of the vehicle Bex and the passenger had loaded the dead scavenger
onto the trailer. As the passenger turned to return to the cab Bex realised that
she, too, was facing perhaps a one off opportunity to get a target on their own.
She reached out, tentatively, touching the girls arm.
"Wait," she said suddenly.
"What is it?" asked the passenger, turning at looking at Bex sympathetically.
She smiled at her gently from behind her mask, "You're going to be okay now."
"It's just, I mean, I was so scared," Bex's eyes welled up behind her mask
again.
"Why don't you hop up into the back for the ride home, it's got its own air
filtering so you can get out of that awful suit."
"Thanks, that'd be great!" Bex waited for the passenger to open the rear door
for her then followed her up the steps, pushing her gently but insistently into
the cargo compartment.
"Woah there, I have to get back into the front!" protested the passenger with a
nervous laugh. Bex hit the button that closed the door and the hydraulics eased
it shut behind her. The passengers smile faded as she tried to move around Bex
to the exit and found her path blocked.
"What are you doing?" asked the passenger in confusion as Bex reached over to
her and lifted her mask off. Bex shushed her, putting one large gloved finger up
just in front of her lips. She held the finger there for a moment, watching the
passenger intently.
"Help me take my gloves off."
Case returned to the vehicle, looking around it carefully, looking for Bex or a
way to gain entry, she found neither and figured her partner had already found
some way inside. Quickly she returned to her captive who was beginning to regain
her senses. She calmly put her back to sleep with a gloved hand over her mask
filters for a little while.
In the back of the vehicle Bex and the passenger had succeeded between them in
undoing most of the zippers and clasps that held on her heavy environment suit,
though with guile worthy of a striptease dancer she had artfully avoided
actually removing anything. The passenger wasn't quite sure what was going on,
but she was definitely interested in seeing where this was going, for at least a
minute or two. She hadn't been particularly surprised to see that Bex was
wearing tighter gloves under her heavier suit gloves, presuming it to be just
something to insulate against the cold.
"Here, hold this!" Bex said with a giggle as she suddenly wriggled out of the
top half of the suit and threw it onto the other girls head, the bottom of the
suit followed soon after, with the passenger half buried under it all, unable to
see Bex now clad only in her original sleek black suit. Taking advantage of the
distraction Bex approached the other girl and pushed her down gently to sit on
the end of one of the cargo boxes that sat secured in the centre of the
compartment, Bex then boldly straddled the girls lap. She could hear the other
girl giggling as well from underneath the big pile of discarded rubber suit.
Gently she took the girls hands and pushed them to her sides, softly but firmly
trapping them with her thighs.
"Are you going to take this off me now?" asked the passenger playfully as Bex
removed her big gasmask at last and blew the loose strands of jet black hair out
of her eyes.
"Not quite yet!" Bex replied with a grin. She gently walked her fingers up the
girls chest to her neck, and then up to her face. She'd managed to pretty much
land the top half of the suit right over her head, which had left the passengers
face lost somewhere amid the soft red folds of what would have been the suits
torso. Bex used her fingers to gently trace the girls features, finding first
her chin, then up to her mouth and nose under the rubber. Once she had
ascertained this she reached out and clasped a hand over the area where the
girls mouth was, pushing the rubber suit down over her face.
She was greeted with a startled gasp from her prey, but she noticed with
malicious glee that the passenger was not, as yet, resisting, indeed she could
feel the girl crossing her ankles and squeezing her thighs together in arousal.
The evident kinkiness of her victim only bought Bex a few seconds though, and
soon she was struggling as the passenger tried to buck her off. However her
situation, having already left herself at Bex's mercy, was hopeless.
With something that sounded like cross between a groan and a sigh the girl went
limp in Bex's embrace. Bex knew she didn't have long and quickly set about
stripping her of her uniform and then tying her up. She found putting her in the
top part of the heavy red suit, with the arms tied to the body like a
straitjacket to be effective, with the girl gagged with tape found lying amongst
the cargo. Bex dressed in her uniform and mask, then exited the vehicle, making
sure she had taken the girls key for the rear door.
As soon as she was outside Bex called softly to Case, a wise move, as the other
assassin had been watching close by and planning to attack.
"Nice outfit," said Case, "You do realise you're stealing my turn right?"
"I earned it. She's still alive and everything."
"Good job, one more in the cab though. Don't think either of them can open the
cab from the outside."
"I'll dig her out."
Bex walked up to the drivers side door, hopped up the steps and peered in,
rapping sharply on the glass with her knuckles. Inside, sat in the middle of
three front seats, was one of the lost girls from the scavenger team, looking
very nervous. She pushed the button to open the side door and Bex waved her out,
"We need you outside, just quickly."
The scavenger climbed out of the cab and Bex climbed up to get the keys from the
ignition. Once she had them she came back down to where the scavenger stood
beside the truck looking almost as lost as she had done when the vehicle had
first picked her up.
"Vehicle crew yes, scavengers no, right?" asked Bex loudly, apparently to nobody
in particular.
"Pardon?" asked the scavenger, turning to look at Bex.
"Scavengers no," confirmed Case, emerging from cover behind the scavenger
grabbing her around the chest, pinning her arms to her sides.
"Thought not," said Bex, grinning broadly, and for once visibly, behind her
mask. She reached up and began to remove the scavengers mask.
"What are you doing?! Stop!" cried the trapped girl as the last of the clips
came free. Bex shook her head no and removed the scavengers mask. She opened her
mouth to cry out but Bex closed it with her white gloved hand. This time she
made sure to leave the girls nose uncovered however.
"Deep breaths now," she instructed kindly. She could see the girls face turning
red as she tried to hold her breath, but before too long she could take no more.
She took a deep, painful breath of the toxic air, then another, tears streaming
down her face. She convulsed, unable to get enough oxygen but getting plenty of
poison, and in just a few more seconds she went limp.
"Right then," said Case, unceremoniously dropping the body to the ground, "Let's
ask our friends where we're taking this thing."
