The new Tomb Raider animated series had a potential uniform steal setup in Episode 3.

Lara Croft infiltrates a mansion that's under heavy guard. We see her eyeing a uniformed female guard who is about her size. However, there is no steal - Lara just waits for the guard to leave the area and then sneaks past her into the next room.

A headline from Succession credits "Illegal immigrant accused of dressing up as neighbor and stealing her job"
I don't believe we ever get the complete story :P

I remember many years ago on Youtube there was a scene from an old Korean drama (I want to say from the 80s or 90s) that showed a villainess dressing as a nurse at a hospital. She was seated at a reception desk, and when she stood up to walk away, the camera panned down to show the real nurse tied up and gagged behind the desk. Unfortunately she was still clothed in her uniform, implying the baddie simply took her place but used a spare uniform. Still a great scenario, and I hope to find the scene again someday.

In the Indian drama Maddam Sir, episode 665, a young woman infiltrates a compound where her friend is being held hostage by a team of all-female guards. She chloroforms and knocks out a bunch of the guards, but never steals a uniform.

Starts about 30 seconds into the episode.

Wow, you are correct, that certainly seems like it could set up a perfect uniform steal. Still really, really like the scene. I love the way she kind of tosses two of the women to the ground after knocking them out and kind of just lets the other one drop.

There is scene in X-Men Evolution episode Turn of the Rogue that really seems like it should have been a uniform steal. It is the perfect sentry scene but just lacks the uniform steal.

At the very beginning of the episode a female sentry is walking her patrol route. Shadowcat appears behind her, taps her on the shoulder and when the guard turns she sprays her with knockout gas. I particularly like sigh the guard makes as she passes out. Also like Shadowcat's very matter of fact "North perimeter secure" comment after knocking the woman out.

Here is the video. As noted the scene is at the very start.

That X-Men scene is actually disappointing on two levels - not only is there no uniform steal, but the guard who is knocked out isn't even a real guard. She's Storm dressed up as a guard, and the whole scenario is revealed to be a training exercise for the younger X-Men.

Just a miss of a scene all around...

One courtesy of SleepyComics - some of whom may remember this website. Double missed opportunities in a row.

I quote the description:

Earth 616's Jessica Drew/Spider Woman is transported to an alternate earth. She proceeds to quickly knock out that earth's Spider Woman (she's evil) and Mary Jane (also evil).

So yes, you have the classic trop of the heroine transported into an alternate universe in which the heroines are evil. She encounters her doppleganger, knocks her out, but don't bother to steal her counterpart's outfit. Okay, I'll be open-minded ( ) and admit she doesn't need the clothes to pass herself for her evil twin.

But then she infiltrates a building, comes across Evil-Mary Jane who's the guard of the main hall (complete with evil henchwoman uniform), knocks her out, STEALS HER SECURITY CLEARANCE, BUT DON'T STEAL HER UNIFORM. And then she has the AUDACITY to claim she's good at espionage!   This superheroine needs a training course at the USB.

I'll forgive her because her quip was great...

“Works for me. I’m straight flirted out anyway. I do appreciate you loaning me your security clearance though. If some chick ran up and jacked me in the face, I’d be disinclined to do her any favors at all.”

Clearly the kind of "missed opportunity" scene that gets the imagination running, so I'm happy I came across it.

Similarly, in the comic book crossover The Clone Conspiracy, the bad guy's lead henchwoman is a clone of the character Gwen Stacy. The heroes capture her and replace her with the superheroine Spider-Gwen (you know her if you've seen the Spider-Verse movies), but they don't take her outfit.
