Felt I had to make it a little realistic....these were supposed to be vicious intelligence services at each others throats....always playing for the advantage....they came across as a little tame on re reads......in a couple of histories they actually do these kinds of things.....hope it wasn't to gratuitous......after all, its supposed to be light fiction

quality writing ..some love lethal some dont ,im in the latter ....still doesnt take away from the evocative style of writing you present .....cold war vibes..be good if you did a follow up with the west using the same tactics...would never say your writing is tame....you possess a gritty style mixed with a certain elegance

Copy that...it's not finished yet. The Swiss were just a means to and end to get the Countess/Kornilov off the plane with a face that maybe they could trust....and he needed a little leverage in cooperating.....and then loose ends tied up so to speak.....
