The narration indicates that Joanna has mugged a nun for her clothes, although nothing is shown.

My guess is Joanna, grabs a young pretty nun in a chokehold. Chokes her out, strips her naked and hides her nude sleeping body in a convienent dumpster, walks out in her habit, end scene. I would have liked to have seen that, I mean would have killed the writer and animator to put a few more panels in detailing that.

Still, sometimes you have to go with your imagination.
