Together Again (1944)

This is a very brief clothes stealing scene from the 1944 comedy Together Again starring Charles Boyer and Irene Dunne. Dunne is in the ladies room in her slip having her dress repaired while her date Boyer is downstairs uncomfortably watching a stripper. Suddenly, Dunne hears the sounds of a police raid and is trying to put her dress on when the stripper comes in, says "Thank, Chump," and steals Dunne's dress. Dunne is, of course, arrested. It's 6:20 minutes into this clip.

There's a similar scene in the 1950 comedy The Petty Girl starring Joan Caufield and Robert Cummings, but I haven't been able to find the clip.

By the way, for what it's worth, this is my imagined version of the scene.

The maid has gone out the window at the sound of the raid. Irene starts to put on her dress with her back to the door. The stripper enters. She is naked except for her pasties and her g-string. She sees what Irene is doing. The stripper looks around, sees a bottle of scotch a customer has left there, creeps up behind Irene, and hits her on the back of the head with the bottle.

Irene's eyes flutter, her mouth opens, and she falls back out cold into the stripper's arms. The stripper drags Irene to the couch, drops her there in a sprawled sitting position, and picks up the dress. But then she looks at her naked state. She goes back to the couch, pulls Irene up towards her so that Irene's face is in the woman's breast, and pulls Irene's slip up and over her head. Then she drops her back. The woman then looks at Irene's black bra, shugs, reaches down, opens it from the front so that Irene's full, milky white breasts pop out, and yanks it off her. The stripper checks the size and nods with surprise that it is wearable. She starts to put the bra on but the nsees her pasties. She pulls them off each breast and looks for where to put them and then sees Irene's bare breasts. The stripper smiled at the joke, reaches down, and applies them to Irene's breasts.

The stripper puts the bra on, pulls on the slip, and steps into the dress. She checks the door, knowing she can leave without any panties, stockings, or shoes. But then, thinking she still has a few minutes until they come up there, pulls off Irene's panties, unfastens the garter belt, and pulls down the stockings, leaving Irene completely naked on the couch, her soft belly catching the little light that comes through the windows.

The stripper pulls on the garter belt and stockings and steps into the shoes, which, surprisingly fits. She looks down at Irene, naked and with her mouth still open. She reaches down and takes Irene's pearl necklace and puts it on. Then she remembers the g-string she left on the floor and pulls it over Irene's legs. "Don't say I didn't give you nothing."

She takes the bottle and sprinkles the whiskey over Irene's belly and breasts and even into her open mouth so as to give the police a reason why Irene is out cold. Irene starts to come around from the wetness. "What! What!"

The stripper brings the bottle down with a sharp tap into Irene's skull. She slumps back into the couch, her mouth again open.

The stripper hears the police coming up the stairs. She turns to go to the window and then sees Ireme's purse on the counter. Smiling, the stripping picks it up and crawls out the window.

Just then the door is pushed open and a policeman, played by Edward Brophy, charges in. He sees Irene, his eyes pop, and he shouts downstairs, "She's up here, Captain. Out cold and naked as a jay bird." The camera goes into a closeup of Irene's uncoscnious face.
