Thank you once again, Rufus, for you detailed and thoughtful feedback. I really appreciate it.

You referring to the antagonist of this chapter as "the rider" leads me to believe that you didn't have a chance to talk to her and find out her name? ;)

Maybe next playthrough you will strike up a conversation with her)

This is something id like to do in this genre which is very uncommon: give the victims personalities and make them real characters, even for one scene. Its all too common to have the uniform stealing victims be just mooks and nobodies, without even a name. I feel like giving them characteristics makes the whole story more intimate.

The pictures are heavily filtered photos with details changed and drawn over by me. The overall shapes are not mine but many details and additions are done by me in a drawing tool.

Save system is impossible in this free version of inklewriter sadly.
One workaround is to give the reader the code of the story. Its possible to import the story code in your account and edit it as if you were the writer.
After that its possible to read and rewind to any previous decision, bnot just the first paragraph. Although ALL the options will be visible, even ones that you are not qualified for by conditions (they will be in red by still visible)

Thank you for typo catch, gonna fix it ;)

I actually caught Ethwynd's name after I wrote my comment. ;) I don't think you can actually strike up a conversation with her AND then manage to overpower her. The only time I was able to defeat her was when I took her by surprise.

I think the best outcome for Chapter 1 is to leave with Mirava's clothes and Ethwynd's sword. ;)

By the way, their was a typo in my own comment about your typo. (Kinda ironic  .) I've corrected it, but just in case I'll say it again here: In her first description the rider is described with ash brown hair, and after she's dragged into the cell, she's described with black hair. (I said brown at first, which made the sentnece a little weird. :P )

Thanks for your answers! One final question: Do you have an idea when Chapter 2 will be available?

There is a way to defeat Ethwynd lethally and non lethally if the disguise is broken after the conversation. Not very obvious though. ;)
The logic is that the inquisition works from the shadows, using dirty tricks and cunning to overcome the more capable "head to head" foes.

Fixed the typo.

I haven't started chapter 2 yet due to Christmas and new year chores. I think it will be finished sometime in january.

I like the sequel! I want to suggest adding a variety of clothes and more description of the feeling of it. For example, the smell and so on

ascetic wrote: Fri Dec 17, 2021 8:16 pm Hi everyone. I’m very excited to present to you the prologue of my first interactive story called “The Blade of the Inquisition”. I don’t know where it’s best to put it, so I decided to make this thread in General Discussion.

I have planned to write an interactive story in our genre for a long time and finally found the necessary tools and inspiration to make it happen.

Here is the link to play it.

Only prologue

Prologue + chapter 1.

It is something like a gamebook, where you can make different choices during the story and see the consequences of your choices.

There are 22 spicy pictures that appear when the main character does certain actions. Not all of them will show on your first playthrough, so I encourage you to play several times. Let’s see if someone can find all of them.

Warning: depending on the choices you make the story can become a bit gross. I tried to cover many things that the reader might be interested in. You have been warned.

I will be very happy to know what you think about it and if I should continue doing such stories.

English is not my first language so I will appreciate if you could point out any mistakes, particularly in grammar.

I playtested it as best as i could but there may be some logical inconsistencies. Please let me know if you find one.
If there is anything that i would add, is adding defeat screens, this would be a huge plus seeing not only all the ways you can defeat your opponent but also seeing all the humiliating ways you can be ko'ed and then having something happen to you

I always wanted to know what happened to this. I really enjoyed both the prologue and Chapter 1. It is a shame, the CHYOA concept presents some really intriguing concepts for USB.

I once found a story, on Written. It featured a CHYOA that featured a story where you character was a female alien shapeshifter, invading Earth. It featured an option where you could kill a young woman and steal her clothes and appearance.

It's no longer on the site now.

It's few and far between, mostly there is just porn.

I do think, it would be great if we did more choose your own stories featuring USB. This one ascetic was doing, had potential.

Basically, life happened, and family matters and the war which affected me. So I hope I will finish this when I have time and inspiration.
