I think several places in SE Asia culturally share a few similarities in language. I also noticed several words that are also used in Filipino.
Mr. Peaky Blinder - I haven't kept up to date with the shows and movies but yeah the few I've seen have improved alot. Our independent cinema in particular has been really flourishing and getting alot of international attention.

I skimmed around a few scenes and they at one point clearly say “sabaidi” or “swasdi”, both sound very similar and mean hello in Laos and Thai respectively. Basically interchangeable.
Beyond the uniform steal i just love the whole infiltration scene. After the two gate guards are knocked out we get to see three more of the cute guards taken out with the gas.
I really wish I understood the language to fully understand what is happening. I am particularly interested about what the spray they use on the girl in the house. It seems it somehow puts her under their control as she then ends up knocking out the last sexy guard before being knocked out herself.
I also love that whenever they show the woman in the van we see the guards in the background laying unconscious and one of them starting to wake up only to be knocked out again.

The whole thing is just so great. Just love the concept of multiple female guards being knocked out with the gas spray. Really love the one guard somehow being enlisted to help the intruders to knockout guard by the gate. First off, both guards are so darn sexy in their uniforms. And the idea that the guys somehow control the one guard to make her knockout her colleague then the knock out herself is just fantastic.
While I cannot tell for sure as i don't speak the language, it seems that the while the red spray bottle has knockout gas the gold one seems to have gas that makes the victim susceptible to being controlled, That appears to be what they do to the girl. Hoping that someone on the forum can translate some of what is being said.
It seems that this film is indeed Indonesian. looking at the IMDB guide I got this synopsis for it:
'Knowing the headquarters and settlements of Betawi suburbs will be evicted, Pengki (Reza Rahadian), Somad (Adjis Doaibu), and Achie (Aci Resti) sabotage illegal casinos in Jakarta. They drain all bets to buy the land to be evicted. The casino belonged to Said (Qomar) who is gambling with Hengki (Hamka Siregar). These two people are the biggest mafia that controls gambling business. The problem becomes more complicated when Pengki falls in love with singer Aida (Delia Husein), Said's mistress, sold by her parents to pay the debt. As a wealthy Betawi, Pengki is considered a useless man. Her mother always assumes Pengki is just a spoiled child who wasting his mother's money. His love for Aida changes Pengki's attitude. Pengki now has the ideals: to have a school that can accommodate poor children. Unfortunately, Said spots Pengki-Aida's relationship and unmask him as he is lurking his casino. In the midst of such a complicated situation, Hengki invites Pengki, Somad, and Achie to cooperate. Hengki secretly has a grudge with Said because his precious watch was held hostage by Said. So it seems that the scene we are interested in is the break in to the house of 'Said', and the pretty henchgirls are Mafia employees.

I wanted to follow up on this thread. I am wondering if anyone on the board could translate the scene where the good guys sneak into the mansion in the stolen guard uniforms.
The are carrying two different spray bottles. The one clearly knocks the victim out. However, I think, but can't be sure as I don't speak the language, that the one bottle must do something to the victim's memory or puts her some kind of trance. I say this because they spray the guard in the house with it. She initially seems to get confused and frightened. However, as they talk with her she seems to calm down and listen to them.
Next, it seems the cute guard is basically working with the good guys. She goes and speaks to the guard by the gate and sprays her with the other bottle knocking her out. She seems confused as to why the other guard passed out and seems to ask the man about it. It appears the man then tells her some story about why the other guard passed out and then turns the spray bottle on the girl and knocks her out too.
I would love if someone on here could help with translation. There is a scene just before the infiltration scene where the discuss the two spray bottles. My guess is that this describes what they do. Also, I would love to know the what the guards said to each other before the girl knocked the other one out. I'd also like to know the discussion between the good guy and the guard before he knocked her out.

I still am really disappointed I have not found a version in English or with subtitles. I would love the understand how the spray they use on the one guard makes her do what they tell her and knockout the other guard. I would also love to know what she says before the guy knocks her out too.
I know I asked before but I wanted to bump this thread a little bit. I was wondering if there is anyone on the board who could translate the video.
I just love the scene in that not only do we get a uniform steal (albeit by men) but during the infiltration scene, a total of five cute female guards get knocked out. Given my interests, I find this almost too good to be true.
What I am really curious to know and would love to see if anyone can translate is information about the spray bottles the infiltrators use. They have a pre-mission discussion about them at the 1:18 mark of the latest post. There are two spray bottles with one being red and one being gold.
Given what happens to the women when they are hit with the spray from the red bottle it is pretty clear it is knockout gas. In fact,it must be pretty fast acting as all five women are knocked out pretty much immediately upon being hit with it.
What I am really curious about is the gold spray. From what it looks like I think that spray must blank the victim's mind and make the person subject to suggestion. That seems to be what happens when they use it on the rather cute guard inside the house.
Whatever the gas does it seems the men get the guard to go up to the guard at the gate and spray her with the gas in the red bottle to knock her out.
It seems that the woman is confused by what happened to the other guard and she seems to question the one infiltrator. He seems to give her a story before turning the spray bottle on her and knocking her out too. I would really be interested to know what the two of them are saying after the guard has gassed the other guard.
Is there anyone on the board who would be able to tell what is being said? It would be really appreciated.
