However, I will try to give my opinion on the subject. Please keep in mind that this is my own personal opinion, my own personal thoughts, and my own personal SUBJECTIVE interpretation of other people's actions. Also keep in mind that I'm trying to describe a detailed nuanced thought in a language that isn't my native language.

I think it's time to defuse this situation.

Thedude31 made a point about the problem of Pixiv, and I 100% agree with them. The extreme gory or graphic stuff that we can come across on Pixiv unnerves me a lot, because I prefer my fetish situations to be 'light-hearted', so to speak. Other people agreed, and I will forever be grateful to all of them, because they did it in such a respectful way. As it has been said several times by several people, we are all aware that we are talking about fantasies and fetish, NOT things we would want to happen for real.

esercitto sconfitto made a point about the fact that other people enjoy 'hard' content, and that these contributors shouldn't be ostracized. Which WAS ABSOLUTELY NOT the intent of thedude31 or anyone else, but is still an important thing to say, because (especially since most of us are using a language that is not their native language) a short written comment can always be misinterpreted. Esercitto sconfitto, comments have been taken out of their context by you, and the context is always important.
Therefore, I'll explicitly say it: the intent is not and has never been to attack specific members of the board because of their tastes. In my opinion, there is no link to any 'civilization clash', only a discussion about personal tastes. After all, liking or disliking a specific sort of fetish isn't a matter of origins. But if Chinese or Japanese authors/members read me, I can assure them the point has never been to disparage a specific culture.
esercitto sconfitto also tried to make fun of the situation with a satirical cartoon. When I saw this fanart, I took it for what I think it was: a satirical cartoon, to make fun of a situation. It was maybe clumsy, not everyone will like it, but I don't think the intent was to hurt anyone specifically. I was tempted to leave a 'joke comment'. I didn't do it because it was late, and I couldn't find something to say. I realize now it was a mistake. I'm rectifying my mistake here. I think this art shouldn't be removed.
EDIT: A post was made by esercitto sconfitto during the writing of this post, and I thank him for having clarified his thoughts. As I said above and as I'll say below, there is a miscommunication at work somewhere. The goal has never been and will never be to claim that 'non-lethal' uniform stealing with less or no sexual content is the only real thing. The goal has never been and will never be to disparage people because they like 'lethal' or 'sexually explicit' content. I think that the fact that nobody ever posted a hateful comment in a topic featuring the 'extreme' stuff of Pixiv is proof enough that the intent was never to attack someone, that nobody ever wanted to disparage someone. In fact, creating a specific topic was in my opinion a good thing because it therefore doesn't single out a specific author or board member posting a link to organize a witch hunt. The goal was to express a dislike of a certain type of art that's often featured on Pixiv. The talk of banning something has never been presented as a viable solution, on the contrary. We have already enough problems with censorship. While not perfect, the solution of putting warnings is in my opinion a good compromise because it allows people who like 'graphic, lethal or sexually explicit' stuff to still share the links, while also being respectful of the ones who don't like this stuff by allowing them to know without clicking the link that this is not the content they are looking for.

I humbly think the key word to understand this situation is 'miscommunication', and it's a very common problem on the Internet. Comments have been misinterpreted and taken out of context. In my opinion, it's due to the format. A written comment is subject to interpretation. It's a lot harder to get your point across with a small comment, compared to a conversation 'in real time'. I mean, why do you think I often write comments as long as my arm...

I'll sum up my thoughts:
- People who dislike the 'extreme' stuff on Pixiv have the right to dislike it and have the right to say that they dislike it.
- People who like the 'extreme' stuff on Pixiv have the right to like it and have the right to say that they like it.
- Nobody at any point ever tried to attack someone personally or someone's culture or someone's preferences.
- Comments shouldn't be taken out of context, insults shouldn't be thrown. I can not condone insults.
- Satirical cartoons are supposed to make fun of a group. One has the right to not appreciate them, and the author has to accept that fact. For every story, every art, there will always be people who don't like them. And it's their right. Just like it's the artist's right to make art. When I post my stories, I accept the fact that one day someone could write that they hate them because they find them too pretentious in their attempts to be novels, and that they focus too much on non-USB plot to be called USB stories. Perhaps some members even think that, but are too nice and polite to say it to me. But it's their right to think it, and also to say it.
- I think it's only fair that a warning should be written when a link features graphic content, violence or death. Deadly sunburn has done it ever since he started posting on this board, it has always worked without a hitch, and for that they have my utmost gratitude and respect. If they come across this comment, I'd like to say to them that I regret not being able to appreciate their hard work, and that I'll always respect and thank them for the efforts they make to keep the Board alive and to bring to others stories they like.

I value thedude31 a lot for having said out loud what I and (given the comments) other people were thinking to themselves, and for giving me the occasion to make my point about the situation. It takes courage to lay this sort of topic on the table, courage that I didn't have. For that, they have my thanks and my respect. I value esercitto sconfitto a lot because, when push come to shoves, he did so many things to keep this Board alive for so many years. He showed me support during my humble beginnings. He's the first and only person who ever did a fanart of one of my stories, a map that I still have in a folder on my computer. At one point, he was the only one commenting on my stories, motivating me to keep going. And for that I'll always be grateful. I'll never forget. I wouldn't be still writing now if it weren't for him and tirepanted, I would have stopped in early 2019, and something would have missed in my life; because I'm realizing, now that I'm approaching the end of my final series (and of my intense period of writing), that publishing stories here has been/is a passion. And discussing stories has become an even bigger passion.

To conclude, I'd like to say that it took me roughly 1 hour to write this comment. I used time that I should have used for my work. Therefore, I hope that this comment will be useful to defuse the situation. It's the only thing I wish. As for me, this comment has become more personal than what I anticipated at the end, I simply wish I could have shared my thoughts during a more serene moment.

Take care everyone.
Jesus you really... gave it your all in this post, well all i can say is. I couldn't have said it better myself

hi guys,

i will just chip in my two cents - i think you in general know my stand on violence and death but I must agree, some of the stuff at Pixiv is siiiick shieeeet...

Then, this ain't foot fetish or "step sister sucks me" (what I mean this is not main stream and each scene and contribution is weighted in gold) hence - beggars aren't choosers and I am always happy to see a new content.
