ESCORT
by Uniformity,

(inspired by an actual incident occurred back in 1982)

South Melbourne'Women Police' Division 1977...

"I've got a little job for you two......?" announced Anne.
Standing in the doorway to her office, the 'Officer in Charge' of the South Melbourne 'Women Police' Division held a folder of paperwork.

'Sarge...?" responded Jane.

Constable Jane Mathieson had been looking forwards to a night at 'The Tunnel' Nightclub in Melbourne with both Constable Desiree Williamson and Senior Constable Louise Hamilton - the smile disappeared from Sergeant Anne Kensington's face...

"Seems, the 'Uniform Branch' downstairs needs our help, Constable Mathieson......" she explained, handing the folder to the twenty-four year old blonde.

"What is it, Sergeant Kensington?" enquired Desiree with her usual disarming smile.

"They arrested Iris earlier......" responded the older policewoman. Desiree glanced at Jane.

"Iris Webster?" Jane queried, tugging at the sleeve of her uniform shirt...

"Prostitution.......?"

Anne shook her head. The former 'Pimp' had not been arrested for 'Prostitution' or 'Soliciting' - the thirty year old had been caught assaulting another prostitute in Acland Street, St. Kilda, in what could only be described as a psychotic rage. Sedated, she'd been 'certified' by the Police Surgeon.

"Not quite..." sighed Anne.

"You're to take her out to Mont Park Pyschiatric Centre......" the older policewoman added...

"I guess, " thought Jane, "We should've invited Anne to 'The Tunnel' tonight?"

"So, it's an 'Escort' huh...?" whispered Desiree, glancing once more at Jane.

"Yes......" confirmed Anne.

Desiree nodded, She knew what her girlfriend was thinking, but said nothing - there had been some talk earlier about extending an invitation to Sergeant Anne Kensington, but neither Constable Jane Mathieson, Constable Desiree Williamson nor Senior Constable Louise Hamilton had been confident their 'Officer in Charge' might approve. Two weeks earlier at 'The Tunnel' Nightclub, Jane had let a prostitute perform cunnilingus on her in the 'female' toilets...

"It shouldn't take more than a couple of hours to get her lodged at Mont Park?"

Iris Webster was no stranger to the 'Women Police' Division. She was an attractive dark-skinned brunette who'd tinted her shoulder-length hair a dark burgundy colour.

It was said, that she'd once been a 'Miss Victoria' contestant and worked as a model. But, that had been at least ten years earlier...

"You going to behave yourself, Iris...?" asked Constable Jane Mathieson. The former 'Pimp' said nothing.

"They must've used elephant tranquilisers or something?" observed Constable Desiree Williamson. Jane took a gentle hold of the woman's arm and ushered her from the cell.

"Is it true what they say about her......?" enquired Constable 'Lucky Phil' Johnstone. He was working as 'watchousekeeper' and had only been stationed at the South Melbourne 'Uniform Branch' a month. Senior Constable Louise Hamilton shrugged. Sergeant Anne Kensington had remained upstairs in the 'Women Police' Office...

"Handcuffs......?" offered the policeman. Desiree turned and frowned at him. 'Lucky Phil' blushed.

"I don't think that will be necessary..." muttered Jane - saying nothing, 'Lucky Phil' closed the door to the 'female' cells.

The irony was that policewomen were not issued handcuffs or the a baton.

"Iris is in her own little world at the moment......?" Jane added, taking a moment to look the 'drugged' woman over.
Iris Elizabeth Webster had long enjoyed a reputation amonst the policewomen working Melbourne's notorious 'Red Light' District...

"With the cocaine she's already taken, she's not going to be a problem eh?"

"I wonder, " teased Desiree, "If it was one of her girls the other night at 'The Tunnel' huh?"

"Desiree...?" cautioned Jane - 'Lucky Phil' had no idea what the two policewomen were talking about.

"Interesting question, Constable ..." whispered Senior Constable Louise Hamilton. It had been her that had introduced Constable Jane Mathieson to the prostitute at 'The Tunnel'...

"Paperwork's done......" announced 'Lucky Phil' - the young 'watchousekeeper' now stood at the Charge Counter.

"Thanks..." replied Louise, guiding Iris to where 'Lucky Phil' stood writing in the watchouse register.

The police radio crackled. There was an old wooden loudspeaker about the counter, but neither Iris, the policewomen nor 'Lucky Phil' took any notice.
"You are going to behave, Iris...?" wondered Desiree. The woman nodded slowly.
"You need to go to the toilet before we leave?" asked Desiree.
Iris shook her head after a moment's hesitation - Louise endorsed the watchouse register and Desiree took the paperwork from 'Lucky Phil' to add to the folder Sergeant Anne kensington had already given them upstairs. All three policewoman had thought Iris was still in 'Fairlie' Women's Prison...
"Maybe, we should have invited Anne...?" suggested Jane, still thinking about 'The Tunnel' Nightclub.
"Maybe......" sighed Desiree - Louise took Iris by the hand and led her from the room.
"I don't think it would've mattered, one way or another..." Desiree whispered. Jane tugged at the collar of her uniform shirt and smiled suggestively.
"We still would've had to take Iris to Mont Albert this afternoon......"
Jane nodded. Like most young policewomen, she wore a white short-sleeved uniform shirt that was a size too small.
"The sooner we get 'Miss Webster' out to Mont Park, the better...?"
Jane responded with a muffled sigh. Her shirt now felt as if it were three sizes too small as she followed her girlfriend.

Mont Park Psychiatric Hospital loomed above the police car.
Whilst it was not quite the forbidding Gothic-style architecture that seemed to be the epitome of such institutions in literature and film, the building was a substantial Victorian-era structure that seemed cold and unwelcoming. No matter how many times the policewomen from the South Melbourne 'Women Police' Division visited Mont Park, they couldn't quite get used to their feelings of uneasiness...
"Well, here we are......?" sighed Desiree.
Iris Webster had remained silent for the entire journey. She seemed to be almost catatonic to both Constable Jane Mathieson and Constable Desiree Williamson - the former 'Pimp' staring into the distance as she sat in the back of the Holden police car with the two policewomen.
"Look's quiet enough...?" added Jane - Louise steered the police car into a vacant space by the front door.
"We're here, Iris....." Desiree whispered to the 'drugged' woman. Iris said nothing.
"You're new home for awhile..." the young brunette policewoman added. Iris opened her eyes.
"At this time of day, we'll need to check out what they want......" suggested Louise, switching the car's ignition off...
"You'll be right keeping an eye on Iris then, Desiree?" the older policewoman asked. Desiree glanced at Iris and nodded - the paperwork suggested Schizophrenia but nothing the 'drugged' woman had done so far, indicated that she was going to cause them any trouble.
"You come with me Jane......?"
Jane nodded, opening her car door.
"With a bit of luck, " continued Louise, "We'll have her all sorted out and be on our way in twenty minutes?"
"Optimist...?" joked Desiree.

"So......?"
Desiree hesitated, realising that she was talking to herself. She watched her two colleagues disappear from view...
"To answer your question, Constable Williamson......" a voice hissed. It took Desiree another moment to realise it was Iris.
"Iris...?" the policewoman gasped. The woman's piercing green eyes seemed to be looking right through her.
"I know all about what happened at 'The Tunnel'.....?" continued the former 'Pimp' with a hint of contempt...
"Candi was one of my girls and Constable Mathieson owes me?" added Iris.
Desiree opened her mouth to protest. But, Iris Elizabeth Webster was quicker. Slipping from the seatbelt, she raised her hand in one swift movement and clamped her palm over Desiree's mouth.
"Your uniform shirt's almost my size...?"

"Well......?"
Smiling, the dark-haired nurse at the reception counter looked up...
"You have business for us huh...?" she asked the two policewomen.
"Something like that......" replied Louise, holding the door for Jane .
"South Melbourne 'Women Police'...?" queried the nurse - Mont park Psyciatric Hospital had already been advised the policewomen were on their way.
"Iris Elizabeth Webster?"
"Yes..." confirmed Louise.
"Well, she has been a naughty girl, hasn't she...?" the nurse observed. Louise nodded.
"I took the liberty of having a look at her paperwork......."
"Louise..." whispered the older policewoman, joining the nurse at the counter.
"Senior Constable Louise Hamilton that is......"
"Louise..." acknowledged the nurse.
"And, this is Constable Jane Mathieson........" Louise added, glancing back at her colleague - Jane lingered by the front door.
"Oh, I think I recognise Jane...?" whispered the nurse.
"We've met at 'The Tunnel'....."
Jane hesitated. Louise raised en eyebrow, leaning against the counter to look back at Jane.
"Three months ago, Louise..." the nurse explained with a mischievious smile. Jane blushed.
"I seem to remember the white policewoman's shirt and curly blonde hair?"
"First thing's first though..."
Louise tugged at the collar of her own uniform shirt.
"I need to get the Duty Psychiatrist to process the admission..."
The older policewoman shrugged, handing the file over.
"My name's Penny Lawson......"
"Penny..." greeted Louise.
"And then, " Penny suggested, "We can hava a chat about Constable Mathieson over a cuppa?"

Jane hesitated.

She had breathed a sigh of relief upon stepping from the reception area.

A cool breeze send a shiver through her - for the life of her, she could not remember Nurse Penny Lawson?

But, the attractibe brunette certainly knew her...

"Seems, my nurse's uniform has thrown Jane a little?" Penny had teased.

Jane closed her eyes and uttered a soft girlish sigh.

"I'm sorry, " Penny had then said, "But this is going to take a little while?"
Louise had shrugged again...

"So, where's this Iris Elizabeth Webster then?" the nurse had enquired, changing the subject.

"In the car with another policewoman, Penny..." Louise had explained, removing her policewoman's hat.

Saying nothing, Jane had turned to open the front door again...

"Well, you better bring her in and I'll call the Duty Psychiatrist?" the nurse had suggested. It was just the excuse Constable Jane Mathieson needed.

"Thanks..." Louise had answered, carefully brushing a few loose strands of hair from in front of her eyes.

"What...?"

The police car remained where they had left it. But, there was no sign of either Desiree or Iris...?

"Desiree......?" jane wondered aloud. A policewoman's uniform hat sat on the roof of the Holden sedan - the metal Victoria Police capbadge glistening in the evening sunlight. The back door on the passenger's side was open...

"Where have you got to?"

Unaware of what was happening outside, Louise and Penny sat together at the front counter. A door slammed somewhere within the building...

"Desiree......?" Jane called.

Her skin tingled beneath the crisp white fabric of her short-sleeved uniform shirt - it was no secret that Iris had once kidnapped two female police officers in St. Kilda when they arrived at her front door to arrest her girlfriend. It had been forty-eight hours before the hapless Constable Hanna Murchison and Constable Diedre Peterson had been found.

"Desiree......?" shouted Jane again, removing her own uniform hat...

"Desiree Williamson?"

Jane snatched a hurried deep breath. She raised her hand to wipe at the perspiration that now appeared down the side of her face away from the breeze.

Walking to the stationary police car, she gave the back seat a cursory look - Desiree's regulation handbag lay on the seat with their prisoner's short-sleeved blouse and bra.

"N-No......?"

Turning to look back towards the main gate, Jane heard a moan...

"Desiree.....?"

She moved in behind the Holden sedan - Desiree lay in the garden beneath a shrub, wearing nothing but her black policewoman's issue 'court' shoes and torn pantyhose.

It was now getting dark. Much to the relief of both Constable Jane Mathieson and Senior Constable Louise Hamilton, the 'Duty Psychiatrist' at Mont Park Psychiatric Hospital had been detained - this gave the two policewomen and Nurse Penny Lawson some breathing space to deal with Constable Desiree Williamson.

Dazed and confused, the young policewoman savoured the cup of tea she had been offered by the nurse. Wrapped in a blanket, she could tell her girlfriends little of what had happened...?

"I'll see if I can rustle up something for you to wear?" Penny whispered. Desiree nodded.

"Should we call Sergeant Kensington?" asked Jane.

"You're going to have to do something, Louise?" added Penny.

The nurse had called the front gate - Iris had not left the premises.

"The last thing, " sighed the older policewoman, "Was to cause an uproar over this?"

"Louise...?" protested Jane.

There was a moment of silence.

Penny disappeared through an adjacent doorway.

"We'll be the laughing stock of the Victoria Police if this gets out, Jane..." Louise warned, taking a gentle hold of her colleague's arm - she knew Sergeant Anne Kensington would not be waiting around back at the South Melbourne Police Station for them to return. And, she was confident that nobody would ask too many questions if they dropped Desiree off at her home beforehand.

"How about this?" a voice asked.

Penny appeared in the doorway with a nurse's uniform.

"It's about the best I can do without attracting too many embarassing questions?"

Constable Desiree Williamson stared at the uniform Penny held.

"Nurse Williamson huh...?" joked Louise - standing between the reception counter and front door, Constable Jane Mathieson bit her lip.

In her mind, she could still see Desiree lying in the garden bed. She knew what had happened with Iris, even if her girlfriend was not prepared to admit it.

"Thanks..." Desiree whispered.

But, what worried Jane even more than the 'missing' Iris Webster, was the fact that she found what the 'Pimp' had done to Desiree a 'turn on'...

"Seems, we owe you......?" sighed Louise. The nurse said nothing.

"We need a favour or two, Penny?" continued the older policewoman - Louise knew that the nurse was a 'regular' at 'The Tunnel' and had probably seen them all in what could only be described as 'compromising circumstances'...

"We need to find Iris and quickly......?"

Louise stared passed Penny out the adjacent window. Once again, a door slammed somewhere within the old building.

She knew that she could call the 'Women Police' Division at Greensborough - they were a few miles further north along the railway line to Hurstbridge.

"Louise......?" whispered Jane. The older policewoman bit her lip.

She could telephone Greensborough Police Station for assistance. Or, she could call Sergeant Anne Kensington...?

"With a bit of luck, this will fit..." Penny sighed - the short-sleeved white nurse's uniform dress was her spare and looked like it might fit Constable Desiree Williams...

"But, you're still going to need to find your uniform...aren't you, Desiree?"

Desiree let the blanket slip from her shoulders. She'd finished the cup of tea and regained her composure.

"How long can you keep a lid on this?" enquired Louise. The nurse hesitated.

"How long have we got before the Duty Psychiatrist comes looking for his patient, Penny...?"

Penny shrugged...

"Iris can't have gone far......?" the older policewoman sighed. Desiree was in one piece. Penny had all the paperwork.

"Twenty minutes...?" suggested the nurse. Desiree slipped the nurse's uniform on.

"Thirty minutes maybe......?"

"This is a a 'secure' facility, Louise......" Penny warned. Desiree carefully zipped up the uniform dress...

"Questions will be asked?" the nurse added. It was a miracle that they had got away with not telling anybody this long.

"Iris is still technically in your custody...?"

Louise was only too well aware of the legal ramifications.

"We need to find her......?" added Jane, tugging at the sleeve of her shirt.

"That we do..." agreed the older policewoman.

"Sorry......" whispered Desiree...

"Well, it looks like 'The Tunnel' will have to wait?" sighed Louise, putting her uniform hat back on.

Jane uttered a groan.

""Hmmmm......?"

"So, you were going to "the Tunnel' tonight eh?" asked Penny, licking slowly at her lips...

"The best laid plans of mice 'n' policewomen......" was all Louise was prepared to say.

"What are you going to do?" Penny sighed.

"Desiree will stay here with you......" answered the policewoman - Desiree opened her mouth to protest but thought better of it. Penny nodded. With luck, the policewoman would look just like another of the nurses...

"Jane and I will check the perimeter of the building for Iris?"

Penny nodded again.

Desiree sat back. Along with Penny, she watched Louise and Jane leave it all felt so surreal for the young policewoman as she sat at the reception desk with the nurse.

"So......?" whispered Penny. The front door closed.

"What happened outside, Desiree?" Penny asked, moving a little closer to the sullen policewoman...

:You weren't exactly forthcoming with your colleagues, were you?"

Desiree hesitated. She could see her reflection in the glass partition on the opposite side of the foyer.

"What did Iris do to you...?"

As a teenager, Desiree had worked in the local Amcal Chemist and had worn a short-sleeved nurse's uniform dress like that she now wore.

"Iris Webster...?" Penny prompted, gently caressing the policewoman's cheek with her fingertips.

Penny knew Desiree and Jane - she'd seen them both in 'The Tunnel' Nightclub on a number of occasions.

"I enjoyed it......" groaned Desiree. The nurse raised an eyebrow.

Iris had overpowered Desiree and dragged her from the police car.

"I feel so ashamed, P-Penny..."

She had been stripped of her white uniform shirt...

"But, she made me 'cum' like I've never done before!"

"Well, what do we have here then......?" asked a voice. Louise hesitated.

"So, you think I'm crazy huh...?" Iris asked the surprised policewomen...

"Iris......?" gasped Jane. The former 'Pimp' stood in the corner - she had been trying to get through a security gate without success.

"You look good in uniform, Iris..." observed Louise.

Iris had Desiree's uniform shirt on - she'd however, knotted the shirt 'halter style' about her waist and the navy-blue uniform skirt she wore, was torn and dirty.

"Now, I think we've all had enough of this nonsense eh?"

"Louise...?" groaned Jane. The older policewoman however remained focussed on the 'Pimp'...

"You don't want to make this any worse, do you?" Louise asked the smiling criminal - she hadn't noticed the two women moving in behind her, but Jane had.

"Louise...?" warned Jane.

"Constable?" snapped Louise - her young colleague snatched at Louise' s arm and dragged the older policewoman back.

"I don't think, " Jane exclaimed, "They're nurses, Senior Constable Hamilton?"

"Oh...?' was all Louise could say - the two dark-skinned women wore ill-fitting white nurse's uniforms and nothing else.

"Now, I think it's time we got down to business...?" growled Iris.

"I think, " she added, "It's time we taught you two 'cop whores' a lesson?"

"Shit......" mouthed Louise. 'The Tunnel' Nightclub was now just a memory.

"Senior Constable Hamilton..."

"Constable Hamilton............"

"Iris...?" protested Louise...

"Time you met my girls, ladies...?" hissed the 'Pimp' with some satisfaction.
